Trouble in Div content

In the homepage I want a "div" to appear and also I want to disappear "div" on all other pages. I attempted to do with jquery remove and hide div id. This does not complete my job. Can anybody tell me how to do this?

    No and never can unless you give more details...

    Also asking questions on the fly about html/css is a waste of time unless you know HTML/CSS which I guess you do not, or else you wouldn't have asked this question...

      jQuery works just fine if you know how to use it. But if you don't show us what you've got so far, then how do you expect us to know where your problem is? Either post a link to the URL, or paste your code somewhere like jsFiddle.

      And you need to be a little more descriptive as to exactly what you're trying to do. Your original post is pretty vague.
