Membership Question

So I am putting together a membership site and I had a question...

Is there a way to make a widget not appear when it is a free member but show up when they are a paying member?

The widget would have a menu in it and I don't want free members to have access to the widget unless they pay into the paid version.

Thanks for taking a moment to answer this,

John

  • You don't mention which membership script you're using but if you're using S2Member which is the plugin that I use and recommend, then you can use 'conditionals' to accomplish what you're trying to do.

    s2MemberĀ® | Simple Shortcode Conditionals

    Hope that helps

  • Hey Steve,

Thanks for providing that. I will review it and get back with you if I have any questions.

  • You can also use SmartTags to do that with MemberMouse. Very simple. You can show content based on membership level, days as member, products purchased, affiliate referred, and more. It's very flexible.
  • If you are using Wordpress and want to hide widgets you can use the widget logic plugin. It's free in the wordpress repository. You can set it to show to logged-in members only.
  • HI, if you are using the Powerful WishList Member, you can do so very easily for any level of membership. they have created pretty nice little add on which can be used to do so. Its called widget logic which can be found in your download area.

    hope it helps.

    • include a tag method to show content A to paid members and content B to free members.
