How to convert image to 8.5" x 11" flyer

Hello all. I bought a WSO a few months back that includes a flyer that can be edited and then printed out for marketing purposes. When I open it, it is 1749 x 1241, and if I try to print it, it prepares to print out 8 pages. How do I make it so it will print as an 8.5" by 11" flyer? FYI: I have Fireworks 8.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

I use windows paint "resize" to resize my photos, it also has "maintain aspect ratio" option.

This does not help at all...

      Okay, here some questions.

Is this a simple jpg file or available as a psd file?

You need at least 150dpi, better 300dpi to get a good result.

Could you upload it somewhere and give me the link?

Its very easy. Open you firework and create a new file with size of A4 or letter size which is 8.5"x11"
Now you have a blank file in fireworks with the required file size. Now goto file menu and select import option and import your jpg file into fireworks workspace. Now press ctrl+T. image will be surrounded a rectangle try to click and drag any corner of the rectangle and scale the image in whole file space.

When you are sure that file is scaled in all blank space now just press ctrl+Enter key to exit from scale mode. Now your image is resized into required size. Just select File->Save As and select the required format like jpg/png and save this.

    and Done.
