    I think people are a just a bit wary of this sort of layout. It has "calls to action" everywhere. Maybe a bit too spammy? Dont take it the wrong way, this is just my opinion. If you go overbaord with this type of stuff then it can drive visitors away. For example I was there about 30 seconds and two pop-ups came up - this I found a little annoying.

    So, I would lose the pop-ups and ads, just concentrate on writing great content and become active in the social scene, this will get you visitors.

    The overall look and design is quite fresh though.
