Landing Page Custom Templates?

Hi guys. I need to design a landing page for a client, and because the site already has a theme (within WordPress), I need a custom template for that one page.

Now....do you know if there are any "free" templates out there or any plugins that just create a blank page that I can put his picture on and the web form for his email list?

Really, I just need the page to be a black background that I can put those elements on. Simple, yet I don't know how to create custom templates, and I don't want to screw up his site trying.

    No. Isn't that an entire theme? Correct me if I am wrong, that is just what I thought. He already has a theme that he doesn't want to change, he just wants to add a very plain landing page without all the bells and whistles of his theme.

    I prefer simple HTML pages instead of WP themes
