Sales page – Share your thoughts

Hi guys,

This is the first time I start a thread here on WF. I am about to release a wordpress plugin in the upcoming week (or the next, depending on your feedback).

Now I would love to hear your thoughts about my sales page. Please go easy on me with regards to the sales pitch - I don't have a master degree in copy writing, and no intention to fool people into buying something which it´s not. It is what it is...

With that being said, I would love to hear your feedback. Design, gramma, you name it

What I really hate is all the graphics where you could easily use simple text... well, I guess that's how sales pages are.

    Slow loading massive graphics pages

Personally I would change from tons of graphics to only some graphics. However, I like the clean layout, not too much colors... what I mean by that is most of the stuff where you use graphics (the text) should be "real" text.

One thing is that the font used in the graphics is not the same as you use at the end ("Does it Work With Optimize Press?").

    • Don't worry about valid code... Just make sure its cross-browser compatitable.

He is right though, the images where you have lots of text are highly un needed. Use the main image, and a background image for the content where needed. Loading speed is horrible.

    • Hey,

I like the clean layout and fonts used. The key points seam to be emphasized. The screenshot and graphics look good. Great work.

I think it describes the product well, I am not sure it compels me to purchase it. Maybe the copyright could emphasize the need this will address and why it is essential I purchase it. Also some testimonials from reviewers (if you handed out some review copies) would be nice. Everyone loves to purchase things others are praising, right?

A walk through video would also be nice, highlighting the ease of installation and the benefits it provides. A screenshot of the admin options too may add to the page. I love it when I am able to see the admin options before purchasing.

Hope this helps. Just my 2 cents. Best wishes on your launch. If I can help further let me know.

  • I'd have to agree about the graphics being too much.
At first glance there doesn't appear to be that many, until I realized your not even using text but big images like you would in a WSO post thread.

Definitely don't do that, use real readable text (keep in mind accessibility standards).

The images that should be images such as screenshots and such are fine, but separate the text.
When your trying to make a sales pitch don't make it hard to read or skim. (most people skim & don't read everything).
The font is just all wrong for body text with horrible letter spacing.

I skimmed it and the only thing that I really picked up was the OptimizePress logo pic.

  • it seems the amount of graphic far outweighs text which somehow affect site load. Also, something wrong with font harmonization
  • The overall design is good. But now the trend seems to be clean flat design, instead of shadings, I think we are getting use to that.
  • ...However, you should at least have an advanced "degree" in reading - and find the Copywriting forum to ask for help.

Writing copy and designing sites are two different things!

  • 1. Loading quite slow
    2. Clean design seems good, but the font is too thin for me
    3. Overall good design, but need to cheer it up instead of black and white text
