CMS or WP theme to build a Design contest Website

I am looking for a theme of wordpress or any specific CMS which have power to build a website that can hold design contest ? is it possible ? a free CMS is better as I am just starting or I can purchase a theme of wordpress - I am sorry if it's not correct thread to post in but I am new and coudn't find a CMS thread. so its more like web design.

    • I think you can use WordPress theme to hold design contest for you as they are flexible to use and have many plugins to customize according to your requirement. If you are a good developer and can handle little extra work, then Drupal will be better for bigger website.
