Google Experiment & Tracking Code Problem...

Hey all,

I'm trying to run an experiment with a squeeze page and a variation using Google Analytics Experiment feature but it's giving me a couple of problems.

I'm using OptimizePress and here's the issue;

Everything in the Experiment set-up works fine until I attempted to validate the codes on the pages.

Google keeps returning with, "Experiment code found after the Google Analytics tracking code."

As well as, "Experiment code missing the cookie domain name declared in tracking code."

I've put the tracking code in the footer box in OptimizePress' general settings, followed all the directions on where to place the codes and have even tried removing the tracking code altogether but nothing's worked...

I'm still fairly new to websites so some of this sounds like it's over my head. I only have a week remaining on running this offer and desperately need this experiment to work for future application.

Any help at all would be massively appreciated, thank you!

  • Solution 1: You need to move your experiment code before the tracking code. Now you are using OptimizePress. I have never used it personally, so I don't know what should be the best way to do it. Maybe you can disable the google analytics in theme options and add the script yourself, like you did for the experiment code.

    Solution 2: Can't explain it here so got this link
