Good Websites vs. Bad

Hello,

I am going to have a fellow Warrior member redesign my website. Two of the questions I have to answer for him is to list websites who's design I like, and websites that I do not like.

Other than randomly scouring the internet for "good" and "bad" sites, I was hoping the good folks here could perhaps give my some suggestion or examples of both.

So, if you know of any websites that you say, "That's a nice or clean design" OR websites that you've come across that make you go "ouch" could you please post some links here so I may check them out?

In the meantime, I'm going to start looking at some websites myself and see if I can find some examples too.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

FYI: good and bad or what you like and what you don't like - are absolutely not the same!

I have seen perfectly coded (i.e. good) sites that looked ugly... so most people wouldn't like those.

I can show you many good websites with the latest FLAT design trend in this industry.

Flat UI Design - A showcase of the best examples of the flat UI design aesthetic on the web.

It will certainly inspire you to be more creative and give info about what is good. You'll automatically know what's bad after this.

I think that you can also check what websites exist in your industry. For what purposes you're planning to build your new website?

Well, my site is currently a generic "Plug-In Profits" site by Stone Evans. It promotes the plug-in profits systems of becoming an affiliate with a number of businesses and using this "free" website to get downline signups.

It came with ~300 blog post (duplicate content) and has a pre-made autoresponder via GVO.

I have made a number of sales already using solo ads and alike. what I want to do know is make a clean site, some on-site SEO, then off-site SEO to get regular organic traffic over time.

The only things that will change day to day on the website will be new blog posts. I want the blog to be a main focus of the site along with review pages for the various affiliate programs.

You can see me site by clicking in my signature.

      Thank you,

Check your competitors website so you could have an idea on what websites your prospects currently seeing and from there you could start replicating what they did.

Thanks, for all the help so far......

The designer sent me an e-mail with a number of questions that I'd love some help with.

    1. Website Name - As opposed to web address. What is this? Any suggestions or tips on how to pick one? Should it be related to my TBD keywords?

    2. Tagline - I assume this goes under the name. Same questions as above.

    3. Give us an idea of the color scheme to be used for your new website - Any suggestions on the most (or least) effective color schemes? I definitely want a white background for readability, but am unsure as to the other colors. Most sites I see use a lot of Red and Black.

    Thank you,

Your site was either hacked or you are trying to fool people!

The site in your sig goes to a porn site!
    NSFW

Wow! Someone must have hacked my signature here. That's scary. Does that mean they have my login details?

Anyway I fixed the signature. Thank you for letting me know.

OK, now it is fine... the question is: what I saw earlier was coming from WF or from your site/host?

It was coming from WF, as my website/host is fine.

Unless you have a proof that you can present anytime when asked... you should never make such statements

I monitor quite a number of posts around here and click often on sig links to filter out spammers. aff links (that are not allowed) and othyer junk. However, this was the first time I have been redirected to a porn site from a link that claimed to be - and was, indeed - a decent site.

Usually, nobody wants to admit if it was their fault: neither WF nor your host.

Let's just hope it won't happen again!

Sorry to say but it did just also happen to me when I clicked on the link. An adult site popped up. I clicked again and then it was the normal site. I think he needs to check if he has been hacked, with some type of random redirect malicious code.

I am not sure what is going on, but I removed my signature for the time being.

I hope that folks will still try to answer some of my questions regarding good vs bad websites.

If you want to see my "current" website..... it is at (www)homewealthprofit(dot)com

There is nothing called "good website" and "bad website", whoever has asked you for this, ask him to go for a reality check heh. What I don't like, you might like, what I might like, you might not like....

Maybe he wants to get an idea about what kind of layout you want, so he is asking for some sites which you like, but I really don't get why ask about "bad websites" lol
