Sales Video on YouTube: how to remove black borders?

I can't find a better part of the forum to post this so here goes...

Kinda urgent and short notice here: anyone knows how to remove black borders from a sales video?

This video will be on YouTube and played on the LeadPlayer script. Problem is, there are black borders to it and it will affect conversions negatively.

I've been at it for 2 days even with the help of YouTube tutorials but it doesn't seem to do the job! I don't have time to figure this out as I have 2 more days to launch and I need to do other things for it.

If you know how to do it, or know someone who knows how to, would appreciate your help. Am willing to pay for the one-time job in fact. Thx.

Edmund

P.S. I am using Sony Vegas Pro 10. I tried so many ways of removing the black border like:

- changing the pan/crop feature
- rendering video to a custom dimension in various ways

For some absurd reason none of these worked.

If you need to know, these sales videos are PowerPoint slides based originally.

  • Edmundloh,

Have you tried messing with the aspect ratio. This video seems to have answers,

    Hope that helps,

Yep. YouTube uses a 16:9 aspect ratio, so you should render your video to either 640x360 (for standard def), or 1280x720 (for high def). If you do that, there won't be any black borders (assuming of course that the dimensions of the video player on your site is the same dimensions as the video on YT).
