Problem of hosting my domain using wordpress.org

Hi all, I have bought a domain name and has its pointing to hostgator server. Under hostgator's c-panel, my link is shown under "main domain", so I think it's connected successfully.

On the other hand, I have installed the wordpress.org account with wamp locally. But I have no idea (after hours and hours of searching for solution online) how to make wordpress.org account to use my url. All the videos only shows how people link the domain with wordpress.com account, which is not what I want.

Please help.

    1. There is NO wordpress.org account. Period.
    2. You buy a domain from a registrar.
    3. You buy hosting from a host company and at the registrar you point the DNS (domain name server) info to your host. (they should guide you with the details)
    4. You install the script from the wordpress.org to your host server, where your domain lives.

No need for wamp or xampp and once again: NOBODY HAS A WORDPRESS.ORG ACCOUNT. Nobody ever...

Where did you buy your domain name?
1- You bought it from HostGator. Therefore, its name servers might be automatically pointed to that account already.
2- You bought your domain seperately from another registrar such as GoDaddy or NameCheap etc. Therefore, you must point the DNS in your domain registrar to your hosting name servers (f.e: ns#.hostgator.com & ns#.hostgator.com).

The only account that you could have with Wordpress.ORG is the Support Forum.

Wordpress.ORG provides self-hosted of Wordpress that you could download and host it by yourself either local or online.

If you've set up WAMP in your own PC, it mean that you've installed Wordpress locally. Therefore, it has nothing to do with your domain name at all.

You must install Wordpress ins your hosting account (Hostgator) in order to have it on your live server online.

WordPress.COM is the hosted solution of Wordpress. You don't need any additional hosting account at the web host because it's automatically hosted by WordPress.COM server.

Wordpress.ORG is the self-hosted solution of Wordpress that you could download the Wordpress Files and install it by ourselves.

Either your question is very confusing though!

You bought a domain from hostgator by default they will be pointing to hostgator name servers, now you need to buy hosting and connect both your domain and hosting by pointing the name servers VIA domain control panel, that's the most common way and if you need to connect and host your website locally with wamp then you need some what advance knowledge in order to make them work.

    @ run & @ Niroshana Tharu,

Since your posts don't add anything new or relevant to the thread, they just repeat what already has been replied... give me a logical reason why your posts shouldn't be deleted?

I see. I just add up some additional details, so there's no reason that you couldn't delete this post and my previous post.
