Thoughts and Advice on my Site?

Hey everyone,

I have an electronic cigarette review site and this is my first site I have ever created so I was wondering if maybe able to get some advice and constructive criticism? Anything at all would be much appreciated. Thanks.

    I think the dark theme makes the whole e cigarettes look a little underground but the content is good, I can see you have put some work in to it... how long did you take to make it and what theme are you using?

      Well it probably took me about a month to month and a half because it took me time just to learn the basics of wordpress and such. But yeah I've spent numerous hours each day to get it where it is now. I am using ReviewIt theme by Ghostpool. I got it on themeforest.com.

    Nice setup. Two items:
    Why is there a register and login area? Are you planning to build a forum or user-generated content?
    All your reviews are pretty positive. As a reader, that doesn't point out the best or help buy. It reinforces the idea that they're all the same. You might want to add in some "bad" cigs to show impartiality, even if it's fake.

      The theme comes with buddypress so I could input a forum but I don't think its worth the hassle. So I guess it's not necessary to have a register and login page then?
      I made sure to put some negativity in each of the reviews.

    Nice website and good contents. As for the color of the background i would make it lighter. Black background is very elegant but not for a website with lots of contents. Most users don`t like reading white text against dark background, its not that pleasant believe me..

    Hey durandalblue,

    That's an impressive first site that you've got!

    Indeed, I concur with conqueror that the black background and white text makes reading tiring after a while. As a theme, I like how dark and sleek your site is, but sites that use dark and sleek visuals usually have more pictures, and are very selective when it comes to the amount of text. Since your site is mostly informative, it might not be a good idea to go too dark. Perhaps you could use a slightly lighter background, or choose a different colour scheme to try things out. The colour scheme should still fit in with your e-cigarette theme.
