I am creating a authority blog and want my blog to look professional. Initally, it would be a blog monetized by affiliate links and in the future I would be creating and selling my own product.

Can you please suggest themes for authority blog ?

I want a theme which looks professional. I don't mind paid themes but it has to be one time payment.

Thank You

Woothemes is nice to try. Good for SEO also a lot of banner placement for your affiliate links.

I have a preference for Studio Press themes. They are built on the Genesis framework and are quite professional looking. Many are designed so that they could become"beefed up" high profile sites with lots of content.

Also, just a word of caution. You mentioned your blog would be monetized with affiliate links.

If you want a real authority site, go quite easy on the affiliate links. If you plaster them all over your blog, it will never appear as a true authority site. You want tons of incoming links but you need to be very careful about out-going links, both in terms of numbers and also linking only to quality sites/products.

      Good luck to you,

I always go to ThemeForest and find a premium theme that fits the feel of the site.

+1 for Studiopress Genesis Theme and their Pro themes pack. They are very clean looking and well-designed. It is quite easy to tweak them to get exactly what you want.

I also really like the Simple Hooks plugin that works with all the Genesis themes. It makes it really easy to modify your site without knowing a ton of coding.
