Planning To Increase My Charge!

Hello Fellow Warriors and Wordpress Lovers,

Obviously I am a Filipino.

My point of saying that is that your 2 Dollars could already be a good meal for me.

Normally, I just charge 50 to 100 USD per site but my previous client and friend told me that I should consider increasing my rate a bit.

I just created an initial mock-up site for a hair stylist client. ChaneyNail

Do you think I can charge her 150 USD for this? Perhaps after completion of the site. Is it reasonable?

That mock-up site loads quite slow because of the hosting provider that I am using but I am planning to move it afterwards.

Please share your thoughts on this.

    I think you have the right to increase your charge based on your output. I like the layout and the color scheme of that site. I admire the look and feel of it as well.

      I don't think $150 is out of line but I think you should clean up the footer. Separate things that don't belong together, through font selection and spacing and maybe get rid of things you don't need. Do you really need a home link in the footer? Put the link to the copyright text next to the copyright notice etc.

    I don't think $150 is too much, a lot depends on the client and what you quoted in advance if anything.

    You should always get as much as you can within reason. She will earn that $150 in an afternoon.

    For this kind of site, do you think legal pages like Disclaimer, Privacy Policy, etc are necessary?

    Bro, I'm a filipino too. I'm also a website designer for 5 years. I think you should improve your website designs. Look for inspiration. How about some colors? making it responsive? There are lots of ways you can add to make it over-deliver. You can easily charge $150USD with that. Don't be afraid.

    For the hair stylist site, the owner suggested that kind of color scheme and she wanted a simple layout. As much as possible, it should be minimalist.
