I am new to the online marketing business. I just started a sports website. I do not have much content up but I have some. The site will primarily be about football, basketball, and baseball.

Here's a link to the site: MiniMambaSports

Can you guys tell me what you think about the site so far? I have a lot more to do obviously before it's a good looking site. What are the next steps I need to take in order to bring in a little $ from it?

If you want to sell something like an e-commerce store,i suggest using shopify.com at initial stage and market using google adwords.
If you research keywords and target audience better, your results will be great !
    All the best

You need to work out who you're target market is and what's something they may be interested in buying. Do they have a common problem that you could solve?

In my opinion you've chosen a tough market to make money in, but I'm guessing that's because you're big into these sports and you've gone with you're passion? That's all good and I hope it works for you.

However, if you want to make some decent cash with this gig, it is my opinion that you should choose a niche where there is a larger market of desperate buyers - I'm thinking health like weight loss etc.

Your into sports so why not do a blog on fitness or something and then you can collect email optins and market fitness products to them...

Sorry bro I didn't really answer your question but just a couple of thoughts for you regards making dollar from it.

    Good luck man!

Right now I just want to work on the sports website. I know it's not a very good looking website. I was not sure what theme to use. Why do I want a static home page? I would like my newest posts to show up on the home page.

I have had experience on sports betting industry and I believe that if you are into sports this is the best way to make some serious cash. Nothing beats shared revenue IMO.

Sports betting is something I am into as well. I haven't decided if I want to create an additional website for sports betting, or if I want to include sports betting on this site as well.

I would say to start a new website with sports betting content. Odds, Matchups, Lines and sports betting news and finally promote different A+ rated Sportsbooks and their sign up offers. And then you could redirect some of the traffic from your sports site to your sports betting site as well.

    Very plain and nothing compelling.

Do you have permission to use those logos and images? If not, you are most likely infringing on trademarks and copyrights.

    A word to the wise . . .

Lol I know it's plain, I am just getting started. Never done a website before. It's illegal to use a sports team logo? I'm not making money off of their logo.

Looks like a good initial start. Make the site more slick looking (ie: start with a nice header and more appealing sidebar). Add content every day and you should start to see some forward movement.

You already know it needs more *bang* so that aside, It look like the content is off to a good start. You NEED a copyright/ Trademark Disclaimer. Your intent on putting up the blog is to monetize and therefore will be making money off of the content, in the eyes of the law it will appear as you are using the "Logos" to gain trust and make sales.

It's a hard market so when you get into list building or selling any kind of reports my suggestion is to sell micro niche stuff or add a store and dropship "Officially licensed" Things. Just my Opinions, Take them How you would like

    Best of Luck

Also, how do I share a post from the website on Twitter? I watched a video on YouTube and they just went to settings then sharing. I do not have a sharing option under my settings tab. Do I have to download that?
