Can redirect plugins steal traffic?

WEB DESIGN

This is what I noticed: I saw click on the stats in my site's data (the plugin's own data) But the numbers do not match when I compare them with my affiliate account clicks data. Anything similar? Please advice.

How about some more details as to the plugin being used, the affiliate site you are checking on and how much of a difference there is.

The difference is a little - maybe 3 to 5 clicks. Do you think mentioning the plugin is appropriate? Because my assumption can be wrong.

  The name of the plug in has everything to do with it.
  
  If you are getting 100 clicks and there's a variance of 3-5 that's nothing.
  
  If you are getting much less than 100 clicks like 25-50, there's not enough traffic for any comparison to be meaningful.

Maybe it's common with few number errors like mine upto 5 clicks difference but not comfortable mentioning the plugin b/c I believe it is genuine.
