Help with Magento

I have a hosting account at hostgator, right now my domain on godaddy is pointing there too. Now with magento, how to I upload a theme I downloaded? Do I do this with my FTP client? When I log in on filezilla, how do I get it so I see the Magento files and a place to upload the Magento theme? Sorry I'm new to all this.

    You need to add on the domain to host gator. Look in the cp and look for domaoins. As long as your namservers are pointing to gaetor just do an addon

      suppose your domain is

      twocool.com
      in gaetor selset
      addon
      then type in twocool.com
      it will ask you for user id ---pick one the passowrd
      now this is important.
      you want it to poit to public_html/twocoll.com

    Hey thanks for the help, I tried to do an addon domain but it said I couldn't park my main domain name...

      When you are just adding on you are not parking anything. I dont use gator so not sure what is going on.
      Did you try and park your domain name

    Hmm yea when I try to add the domain as an addon domain it says I cant park my main domain name..

    Once you have Magento installed, you can upload your theme via the File Manager or FTP. Usually the theme will include instructions for uploading, typically you have to upload several folders of files, like app and skin, for example. Then you will log in and set the theme under the Configuration/Design section.
