Back to basics?

Hi and thank you for having me.

I was wondering if there would be any benefit to the search engines for a website to be ONLY html and a style sheet? Where all affiliate links contain no scripts and a simple <a href. Where the contact is not a form and is simply the email address <mail to.

The reason I ask is because it seems like the crappiest and ugliest looking basic HTML sites appear to be high on search results, and I have noticed WP and BLOGGER, etc., are basically nil on first page searches unless they are definitive.

So, instead of these dull same old same old WP sites, would a site with html categories, content, and so forth make Google happier than the plethora of blog type sites? I mean, not using the power of php wouldn't necessarily be that tedious.

Essentially I am wondering if html only sites effect seo in any way? Thank you.

No more differences between using php and html. If pages creating with html ranking higher than Php then I sure that here more people will only make website with html without using database for it

    • Do you think that search algorithms and web evaluators are possibly frowning on user ready CMS platforms because of the past bursts of useless sites? I ask because to even get into a position to be evaluated in popular search terms, there is a system to pass through before it even gets to an actual human being able to rank the site.
