Can you guys check out my website and let me know what you think?

I know the style, and theme and everything is plain. This is my first website, and am just now learning this. It is a sports website. Right now I am previewing all the college football teams.

I want to add pictures and stuff to make it look better but didn't want to get in trouble for it. Is it okay to use pictures off of Google on my site?

What should be my next step in order to monetize it if possible?

I think you can use wikipedia pictures, someone said. Can any one confirm that?

I have never understood why you can't use pictures from Google but I could post videos on my website from Youtube. Makes no sense to me.

  Some cause-oriented hackers recently hacked one of my websites. So I researched what they're about and then donated a large sum of money to the entity they hate the most.

  This is because all videos are coming from Youtube. All the images you see in Google images aren't actually coming from google, they are coming from other website around the net. You can't use those images because they weren't uploaded to Google like video are uploaded to Youtube.

No you can't use pictures off Google. That would break copyright rules regarding pictures.

Search for "free royalty images" "free royalty free images" etc...

that will give you some pictures your allowed to use from websites that supply free images.

Never mind pictures you need a logo and some graphics.

Also if you use images from google you may be using images where someone owns the copyright. With youtube part of the agreement about posting the content is that it becomes public and can be shared by others.

Well I can't go to google and get someones Dog lol but Ok understood.

Is it possible to make any money off of a sports blog or is it unlikely?

If you search public domain images then you can use these images on your website without any issues. Some websites or photographers will also let you use their photos as long as you give them credit for taking the photo.

plain is ok, and i like simple. but it;s just my suggest.
Just sugest:
1. need more graphical and photograph. not only simple, but user friendly.
2. need better layout, it is the way to get user friendly. even if your design is standard, visitor don;t care if the layout make them comfortable.

i think all members have say the other reason.

use free royalti images is good for your integrity.

more trafic, more promotion, more article, and many more that you should do. you can read much article here and share. do it with patient and don't expect the result in one day or week. all need process. enjoy the process, do the right thing to make your site monetize.
