I posted a month ago, and received some feedback from you guys on this forum about what you thought of my dating community. I've been working my tail off to get this right. Let me know what you think at this point! Any suggestions would be much appreicated. Welcome to Couple Coffee

    I hate the slider I'm afraid. Too big, blurry images and it isn't compelling.

    I would go with pictures of attractive faces and some quality text about what a great place your site is to meet their match. At the minute there is zero text on that page.

    Forget the members area for now, you need to focus on gettin people through the front door.

      Hey Jazbo, thanks for your input. I actually have a single picture and text going in. I've been partial to the slider as well. Had a lot of people for it, but i'm on the same boat as you! So i'll be trashing the slider and adding in single image with text. Did you log into the site at all?

      The front page took forever to load. Thankfully The login was faster and all four menu items loaded fine.

      Maybe the slider downloads both images before the page displays.

    It's looks okay but you need to redesign the whole lay-out because it looks plain. I also suggest to take a moment to redesign the logo.

    The Dating Search form isn't padded correctly (I'm using Chrome).

    Things break a bit if I resize my browser below ~1000px width. It's OK after the responsiveness kicks in. It's just the 800-1000px range that is a problem.

    I agree with subisa852, but then again it's subjective and some users are more sensitive to design than others. I think what you have is good enough for now.

    Have you considered social login and deferring collection of personal details? Or like jazbo says, let visitors access more without the registration barrier. I suppose monitoring your bounce rate will help you decide what to do here.

      I just put the search in last night. I noticed the search padding issue too. I'm planning on having a line to section off the coffee stream from the modules, which the modules will be blank with the background.

    I remember looking at this a little while ago, and I must say you have made some good improvements; however you still have some ways to go.

    Check out some of these templates for inspiration (or maybe just take a WP theme/plugin?): Dating | ThemeForest

      Thanks for you feedback andrew. Yes I've looked at thousands of templates. A lot of huge sites are using low contrast, simple design. Youtube, yahoo, google, facebook, etc. If i get carried away with tons of things, I feel it'd be confusing. And most premade templates are overkill, with tons of heavy code. I've joined many sites... and after reviewing them and users, theres really only a couple things that matter. Quick to chat, messaging and navigation... "If you can't beat'em be'em" Lol. I have some nice things being added in too adn i'll constantly be changing things to keep users on board. Thanks again for the feedback.

      Went and made more improvements. Now I just have to layout the user search with fields showing then I think it's set? What do you think now?
