Can You Review My New Website?

Let me first start by saying it's not bad, but if you want some constructive criticism here it is (And I am very picky):

Navigation: There is some inconsistencies in your navigation. The navigation is white text on a black background which matches your headings on the left. It makes it less intuitive to a user whats a link and whats a title. Similarly you have four random links 'ABOUT. BLOG. FAQ. ORDER NOW.' at the bottom of the page which don't match the top (or contrast enough to feel intentional)

Font: I'd test some different fonts and sizes. Something slightly larger might feel a little cleaner rather than squashed.

I see it's a free theme but those are just my initial thoughts.

Thanks for the feedback. I am tweaking it now.

The reason I included the links at the bottom is to help people actually see the pages because the navigation bar text is so small and I can't figure out how to change it. Maybe I will try a different theme if I can't get this to look right.

Do you think I should remove the links at the bottom of each page?

Having the links at the top of the page and the bottom isn't a bad idea, but to be honest I feel that theme leaves much to be desired.

As Linda mentions though, don't try anything too fancy.

I agree.

The theme is a bit too compact for my tastes. But I like the overall design... I will tinker with the colors and fonts to see if I can make it look better.

Changed themes. I want to increase the overall size of the template so that the text in my posts does not look so condensed. If someone could help me do that I would really appreciate it.

To be honest the new theme looks a little cheap. I'm a little busy right now but if you wanted I might be able to help find you a theme that with a couple modifications could really work for you.

Your site need a lot of work, the theme does'nt look professional, the subscribe part is not organised on safari browser on ipad, your business introduction does'nt go with me, for complete 5 minutes, i don't even know what you are offering until i have to take the pain to read everything before i understand you are selling your writing skill. Why not replace that "Introduction" with a good introductory caption like "Professional Writing Service". With that any body at a glance will know what you are selling. That your order now will be more noticeable with a bold image order now or paypal button. The story about skill, experience is too long, make it short and straight to the point. If i am a buyer, i will never waste my time reading all those things. I believe most internet buyers behave like that. Look at your competitor page , that will help you to build a great site.

You made some great points. I will try to make the changes. Right now I don't have cash to spend on a premium theme, but if anyone knows a good theme that would work for this kind of website, please send me the link and I will buy it when I have the cash.

I agree. But I can't find any decent free themes at the moment. When I have enough cash I will buy a theme. Any suggestions?

It's not bad if your just looking for an online presence, although but there are a lot of free dynamic themes you can get online if your looking for a more professional look.

I don't think it looks modern enough. Try some sharper colors and maybe a nice image slider. Better typography can also enhance a website a lot.

It looks nice, and straight forward, honestly. However, the biggest issue I have is with your header. It looks plain, boring and uneventful (no offense).

Perhaps you should make a logo or a headliner with Paint or Photoshop. If it's anything, one of the biggest eye catchers is your header. Add a slogan in your logo and if your website is something to be seen as an investment of your time, definitely consider hiring a freelancer or someone who is a professional with creating logos.

Yeah, I have been looking for some good free themes but I can't seem to find any that I really like. Do you know where I can find some good clean free themes? Thanks!

I think the theme I use has a image slider function, I will see if I can activate it somehow. Thanks for the feedback! I will tinker with some different color settings.

Your weblog has some good business potentials, of course if you do some tweaks, that would be much better. About the header image, I guess it needs a better picture, some graphic which tells the audience what your website is about, and perhaps you can assign a proper Alt attribute to it. Right below the header, there is another phrase which points to your homepage, exactly the same message appearing on the header image, try having it replaced with another text message, one which points to another web page.

If possible, move the Twitter shortcut link a bit to the top of your homepage to make it better seen.

The very top, where it says TimothyTorrents Freelance Writer has a color scheme clashing with the rest of the website.

The content is well-written, however. And did you just say you charge $0.02 for 100 words!!! Or was that a typo...
