if you are really into programing take the online video lessons from newboston's
      channel in you tube .

they will provide great stuff from where you can finally begin you programming.
also you have to be really focused to learn the advanced stuff there.

  • I would advise starting with just HTML/CSS and leave PHP for later. Best thing to do is to make a text file backup of the page you are altering and just start playing around, actually doing it and making mistakes will teach you 10 times faster than any video IMO.

  • Wordpress doesn't have much HTML, so PHP and CSS is what you need. Frankly though, is it worth it? PHP and CSS can be a task to learn for most people.

Not trying to be negative, just that it's a big learning curve.
  • Hi Millionair3,

WP is basically PHP and CSS so I'd recommend you to focus on these two together with HTML.

Online video tutorials & training | lynda.com has some good tutorials and they are relativly cheap.. $25 per month..

Also as mentioned above W3Schools Online Web Tutorials

and start to look here: PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor and here PHP Resources - Scripts, Codes, Applications & Software
