400+ CSS Errors via W3C Validation Service

Hi Warriors,

Yep, over 400 CSS errors reported using W3C on my recently updated site: wpmanaged.net .

...But everything seems to be working just fine. Most of the errors are plugin generated. Does anyone have ideas on how to resolve this without going through each and every error? I know that selecting another plugin is always an option . Just wanted to check whether these errors could be ignored altogether and, if so, would the impact on SEO be significant?

Cheers,
Dee

I had a quick check thru the list and it's mostly false positives... well not exactly.
Most of the problems are caused by IE compatibility ( DXImageTransform) code that is widely used, but is not valid CCS3. So I wouldn't worry about it.

Rather go thru the list at PageSpeed Insights

If you can identify the problem plugin, contact the plugin author or support for it.

Maybe you'll want to check the fine print on the validator: it validates to CSS level 2. Any CSS3 properties throw it for a loop.

Check for obvious errors (I saw a missing colon or two in the declarations) and forget about validation.

Why in the world would valid or invalid css have any effect on seo? Other than trying to manipulate content, I suppose.

Pretty much the best call would be to go and do everything by hand - it may be time consuming, but it does affect the general quality of the website. If you want I can take care of it for you - do have some spare time on my hands (feel free to contact me if you'd like me to help out). Cheers
