Webpage Design for Dummies

Hello guys,

I am pretty basic when it comes to coding etc but I recently discovered the beauty of optimizely and how I can easily move, add, change parts of my web content around and test these new layouts. This has been a revlation for me as I can now easily test things that would have taken many days to get through graphic designers and web programmers before i could test anything. That is another story ...

The main reason I am making this post it to ask if there is a dedicated service similar to optimizely just to create webpages?

Anyone have any experience of technology for web-dummies to create and change webpages easily?

    Some people use browser plugins, such as Firefox's Firebug plugin, or SeaMonkey's built-in tools and other plugins. With these you can make adjustments and see how things would look before you save the changes to the actual files on your server.

    However, you could also hire a designer to do the work for you. The benefit with this is that the site can look very professional, whereas us beginners may not be good enough yet. You can find designers here, or on sites like Elance.com.
