Just Launched My Site. I now have over 300 members. Feedback needed

Thanks to everyone on this board. I was able to make appropriate changes to my site to really reach my users and engage them. I launched my dating community in July. I now have about 800 members. I have not paid a dime in advertising what so ever. But your thoughts on my site now that the changes were made would be awesome. Welcome to Couple Coffee

    Defiantly could use more selling. Although it's free, still can't hurt to give them many reasons to sign up. What they could get if they were members. Meet the love of their life, a best friend to spend the rest of their lives with. ect, ect.

    Just not much there to get people to join in my opinion. Course if it's working for you.

    I agree with the above, the graphics could be improved. you could pay a freelance desinger 100-150usd to create a few version and you could choose which one you like most.

    Some recommendations is to eliminate the "Advertisers" field until you have some there. In the meantime, provide a link on the footer like "Would you like to advertise with us?"

    Use this opportunity to further customize the left and right columns of the page and place some content, pictures, polls or something to keep the left and right sides of the page because it just feels quite empty.

    But that's my honest honest opinion and I only say it to help your website, so I hope this helps!

      Hey thanks for your input. I will add some new interactive modules! I have a coffee talk section that I can link the latest discussions into modules etc on the front page. And I'll take your advice on the advertisers module. it will be eliminated until I start to market to advertisers. Thanks again.

      I didn't expect so many people to join so quickly. I am now looking into a better host/server at the moment. I now have about 500 members since launching in July. Trying to run it all by myself is very exhausting but fun at the same time. I'm doing my best to manage lol.

    2 points i would like to share here is

    1st) there is no slogan or nothing like that down to your logo .. your can use .. "A Lot Can Happen Over a Coffee" ...

    2nd) I didnt found live chat option where 2 friends can chat with each other .. if it's already there than that is nice if not than add them to flavoured ur site for user engagement purpose ..

    best of luck for your site i will register on it soon for coffee partner ...

      The slogan is right on the front page in bold. "BREW A RELATIONSHIP"
      I was running chat but took it down due to server load. Im switching to a VPS now. As for more content ill work on that. But once you login youll see that the users build the content. With it being local my registration click to registration rate is high. Ill be at 600 members tonight if not tomorrow. But yes ill get some testimonials and show site features. Right now my main focus is the search filter on the site.

    Not much on your home page, maybe it can be improved a bit.

    Are you developing your site yourself or paying somebody to do it? I love being a programmer because if I want something new on my site I can just build it.

    Nice job, so your at 600 registered members with zero advertising? How's your traffic finding out about the site? You said it's local traffic, are you promoting the site in any way, example Facebook or Twitter?

      Yeah Forums, Word of mouth, facebook twitter. etc. I'm at 575 right now. Should hit 600 by morning. I am not a SEO guru at all lol. That's my weak spot.

      Yeah, I did it this way so users can break the ice. You can learn a lot about someone simply by the comments that they post and posts that they create. It allows members to shy away from awkward invites.

        Certainly and you can actually see them in person much easier on a Social Network than on something like Match.

          Yah and match charges quite a bit to be apart of their community. I mean at some point i'll have something that i'll charge for. But for now it'll all depend on ad space.

      Yes before traffic it was about a 3sec page load speed. But now that it's populated so quickly, I need to upgrade to a better server which I'm currently researching. It should be migrated to a better server/host by the end of the month.

    i will still prefer you to put slogan below logo as mostly users will look slogan on that position .. so if you can than put it and also implement chatting facility that will surely boost your site .. for remaining changes i will keep updating after being member of same site ...

      Thanks for you input, I just don't see the point of adding the slogan. If you open the front page its right front of you. Other dating sites headers are super clean. No extras. The selling point is right on the login page. POF, MATCH, SKOUT none of them use slogans in their headrs. Just clean, slim headers I appreciate your input though. But, Chat will go back in once I upgrade my server.

      Hey thanks. Hoping to hit 700 members by sunday. Just nesting members in with the northwest first. Not sure if I want to expand it out or not. I think that's key. A lot of people think way to big. "open it to everyone, get numbers!" People like to know that there are people all around them in a community. If i were to expand to all 50 states, i'd have a lot of people joining then never returning. I'm kind of documenting all of these steps. I'm writing an E-book i'll release for free as it comes along.

      Thanks SuddenHealth, Yes I plan on adding some testimonials to the page and a couple screen shots of member profiles and the coffee stream etc. what they'll see on the inside. People seem to be joining like crazy though. Should be at 700 this weekend.

      Thanks! It's pretty cool watching it grow as fast as it is. I was at 300 at the beginning of the month. almost 400 new registrations this month of october. I'm working on my blog to. Content creation is pretty critical. But yes, definitely big plans for the blog, I've drawn my whole life, so i'm going to do a comic too to ad to the blog. Just keeping it fun. I don't want to work too hard now, that's the point of breaking away into internet marketing right lol. J/k.

      Thanks! I will work on color variations. I was just biting off of yahoo, and youtube. Very light and easy to read. No fancy things except for the content. But i'll look into some schnazzy colors to add somewhere possibly.

Survey what people want in a relationship, build your registration form with key points of what people seek then beta test.         also may want to consider changing the site from full width to a responsive fixed width, it's really stretching out some of the form buttons.

            the form inputs are a bit long.... looks like its a full width page, if and when you make changes, you may want to consider a 2 column page and what you can do with the 2nd column/sidebar is put some information ie registration instructions or promotions etc. so the visitor wont abandon the page. cheers
