What technical skills should I learn

Hey All,

A have learn about Affiliate Marketing just few days ago and I'm pretty excited about it - I belive that it's really something for me. I'm freelancer and work as iOS Developer and I was always interested in Psychology so I think it's good combination.

My question is: What technical stuff should I learn (I belive that I can pick up basics of new programming language pretty fast), and what is better for Affiliate Marketer - gimp or photoshop

    I'd say if you're going to be experimenting with websites, a basic understanding of HTML & CSS would be helpful. Knowing those two will allow you do a good amount of customisations yourself.

    If you're planning on using WordPress, I'd recommend just giving PHP a quick look through. Only so if you mess with any WordPress files, you'll have a rough idea of what you're looking at.

    As you said, if you can write code for iOS, you'll pick up these three in no time.

    In terms of design, I'm always going to say Photoshop is best. It's by the far, a lot better than gimp, but if you're only doing very minor changes to graphics, gimp is fine.

    P.S - Do you have a portfolio of any iOS apps you've worked on? There's the possibility I'll need to outsource some work on an upcoming project.

    I quit this job and made my own app, and even created landing page in wordpress

    FaceStats App

    I'm currently out of money and don't see options to promote my app, but I'm finishing app for some guy from France and I plan to use money from it to start learning about internet marketing. I want to still work as iOS freelancer but slowly move to affiliate marketing using money from creating iOS apps.

    HTML is going to be the first thing you need to know. It will make your life a lot easier and save you some headaches in the process. You could always just micro-contract your work, but that will add up very soon as it cuts into your profits.
