Good evening.
I would like your opinion about CMS for a news portal.
I have much experience with Joomla and not so much experience with Wordpress.
What's your suggestion?
#cms #news #portal

Is this to be a news aggregator? Or, what do you mean by a "news portal"?

You should consider NewsCoop which was built from the ground up for this purpose.

There's also OpenPublish, based on Drupal.

Wordpress is a good option for you. I would suggest you to opt for news based wordpress theme and then customize the theme as per your graphic elements. In case if you don't want to go for readymade theme, you can have bespoke designs. Wordpress is a good CMS with lots of plugins available and this makes your site scaleable.

You are correct. Plugins need to be carefully selected and optimized.

I always use wordpress and like wordpress more.
It's not difficult for you to learn with plenty of free wordpress themes and plugins.
