  • Thats looks more like Vbulletin. It looks simliar to my forum offlinemarketingforum.com.
We are currently using a cloud server. But if you'd like you can go with host gator thats fine. & WF runs on VB as well.

Just like Invasion power software, why don't other forums do not give us choice (dual) out of 1. Licensed forum with own hosting 2. Forum+host service together.

I like VB in paid and SMF/Mybb in Free software

My question is what is the extra benefr if we go to Vbulletin against SMF

which is better SMF or Mybb

I would go with MyBB it Is head and shoulders better rated. There are two others that are ranked very slightly better, but based on the number of votes I would give more weight to it's favorability over them. It's well ahead of SMF.

...Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just set there.

I can't answer all your questions but i can for free forum software, i would go with mybb, it has a much better layout and is much easier to install stuff on it than phpbb is.

I hate phpBB with a passion. As ViralMediaBoost said, it's a pain to install new mods and skins.

If you're wanting a free forum, I'd go with SMF (Simple Machine Forums). It's easy to install and operate, and there are plenty of attractive skins and mods that are easy to install. One of my favorite features of SMF is the recent posts page(s), where you can keep track of what's going on across the entire forum on a single page.

    phppBB sucks.
SMF has some issues with the coding that I don't like.
    MyBB is decent for free.
    BuddyPress is nice.

But I'd rather use vBulletin, Xenforo, or IPB. Those all cost $$$.

Based on discussion so far about FREE forum software there is tie between SMF and mybb...phbb was out of race now.

SMF only issue based on feedback was coding and mybb only issue was not many themes/mos/plugns etc

But so far based on simplicity and attractiveness many people are going for mybb software

I am ready to purchase VB5 but want to use VB4 to get stable VB5 version (I know VB 4 version and i used it because i worked as admin for vbulletin based website...but still thinking of free version mybb vs smf

Bad thing about vbulletin is even after purchasing with so much money they keep on updating new versions like vb4.1 to vb4.2..still running...hackers too target vb version and recently apple developer vb forum hacked and it was news...vb still lacking security
