So I'm working on building my blog on the word press platform.

I've got some themes I've already purchased in the past that include a handful of elegent themes, Socrates, and genesis.

I'm having a really hard time getting the layout to look just right. I am flexible, but some basic things just don't work out how I need them. here's what I want:

1 or 2 column list, on index pages, of posts that include a thumbnail of the post image (as I will have an image on every post).

The full title of the post under the thumbnail on index pages, as many of my post titles are long enough that the theme cuts them off (on the index pages) if they go over 1 line of text.

Would prefer no excerpt of the post under the title on the index pages, but that's not critical.

Tabs on top of the page for categories

Custom header option.

Additional column available for widgets and ads (pretty standard I believe).

Ability to have social sharing buttons for every post / image.


OR

If anyone just has any advice on a theme they like that works well with lots of images and plays nicely with social networking, please share.

And I'm not looking to hire someone to build it for me, I'd much rather find a free theme that works for most of what I need and just settle with that, or maybe buy another premium theme for a one time fee.
