Hi Warrirors,

I got a website with over 10,000 pages. It is based on Wordpress.

I wanted to ask is it possible to convert the CMS from Wordpress to JQuery using the Laravel framework?

Has anyone ever done it in the past?

If yes, can we face any issues after the transfer? I do not want to change the URL structure for sure.

Please let me know. Highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Regards,
Dr Faizan

jQuery isn't a CMS, it is a client-side javascript library. Laravel has nothing to do with jQuery.

    Hi Steve,

    Thanks for your response.

The thing is we are selling our website which is on Wordpress. And the person who is willing to buy says they only work on Laravel platform.

Is there any way we can change it?

Unless there is a specific program written explicitely to convert WP sites into XYZ... I don't think you can do what they want.

Next, didn't the wouldbe buyer know it was a WP site...?

In the online world, usually, the newer platform (e.g. laravel) that wants to "convert" users from older platforms (e.g. WP) offer a script to migrate/move to their software.
So, it would be wiser to ask them about it.

Laravel is a PHP framework, not a CMS. You might be able to migrate the data, but you still need to code the site or use one of the Laravel-based CMSes to update it.

I see you've got couple of links in an answer here:

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

This question makes absolutely no sense. Laravel, jQuery & WordPress are three entirely different things.

Laravel: a PHP framework (you could build a CMS with this, but 'Laravel' is certainly not a CMS)

jQuery: a javascript library. Certainly not a CMS

WordPress: a CMS - I am sure you know this.

So to quote a comment on your SO question:

Wordpress is a CMS. jQuery is a javascript library. I think you're confused on that point. That's like converting a car into a tire.

You will need to make new CMS and then somehow convert all pages (with somekinda script). I think, that will cost much more, than selling price.
