How to get the customer's info?

Hi,

I want to get the customers info such as their name and email address, their requirement after they make a purchase. How can i do that?

Depends on how you want to collect it. Here is a couple of options -

* You can have an optin form on the Thank you page to collect their name and email.

* If you are using Paypal as payment method, you can enable IPN on your account and write a PHP script to handle the IPN data (incldues customer info etc.) and save to a database. So, whenever a purchase is made, the customer data will be automatically collected.

This is what i'm looking for. There is no tutorial about how to do it. I submitted a ticket to Paypal requesting for a step by step but have not got the response. I know nothing about PHP.

You can learn PHP/MySQL or hire someone to write the code.

I have attached an IPN guide as attachment. You can check and also you will find guides on Google, https://www.google.com/search?q=payp...icial&safe=off

If you don't know anything about PHP, then you should definitely hire a programmer to do so. I don't believe anyone would do this for $5 on fiverr, its a lot more work than that.

Use an AR (autoresponder) and Paypal - most of the time they work well together: activate the email parser and/or the integration they have and it will do exactly what want,,, adding each customer's name and email to your AR list.
