      Ironically enough, OptimizePress.

It doesn't look all that 'authority like'...

But the ability to create a blog while also being able to make squeeze pages, landing pages, sales letters, etc...

Is why I used it so much.

Note: I think the new OP is a plugin, I still use the old version which is a theme

Ive been using Mystile a lot. You can customize the golly gee willikers out of the thing. its pretty nice in that respect. Loads fast even loaded with Woo. the other one I am playing with as of late is Monaco. Free theme with a slider... cant beat that, for those clients that HAVE TO HAVE a slider!

I am a huge fan of themefusion and the Avada theme you can customize that thing to look like anything.
I also just found Jupiter, which I fell in love with as well, found on themeforest, similar to Avada, but I mainly use Avada for all my clients, no one has been disappointed yet plus the woocommerce integration and multiple sliders is nice

My vote goes to Studiopress Genesis themes, they have good looking at frontend and good looking at backend (Means they have been coded brilliantly).
The best part is their up-gradation with every new or important change in codes of WordPress core or browsers.
