Recently I started blogging and found out that image posting is tougher than writing something.
Most images I make some how are bit much heavy in size. When I try to compress them I lose the quality. Also I want the images to be picked up by the social medias. For example I am using twitter large image summary; so images should have a reasonable width a height.

Please suggest me some tools/softwares that will solve this problem. That will compress pictures in in the highest quality and lowest possible size. I would like a great image compressor; if it can not create image it's all right.

excuse my English; still not sharp enough. thanks in advance to all reading this.

If you run a CMS like wordpress I currently run 2 image optimizers, WP Smush.it and EWWW Image Optimizer. They optimise as you upload images to WP or you can bulk optimise already uploaded images. You don't (or shouldn't) lose quality but honestly it depends what image format your trying to compress (this can be sorted through conversion, which is offered by the plugins)

Smust. It is from yahoo and you can play around with it at Yahoo! Smush.itâ„¢

I haven't used it in awhile but from memory I think it had 1mb limit which is why I went and added EWWW Image Optimizer. They both work really well.

Hello PFtalker. What format images are you use in your website .jpg or .png . If you are using .png images then convert it to .jpg format. If you are using wordpress then use plugin for it. I suggest you https://wordpress.org/plugins/ewww-image-optimizer/. I not use this but alot hear about this. So must try it. If have problem then post again your problem here..

If you having difficulties in images that is now much easier using online image optimization tools like https://tinypng.com and http://www.imageoptimizer.pk You just need to use them online and get reduced image size without effecting any transparency. I personally feel the later tool "Image Optimizer" is more flexible and supports different formats. Try these tools and make your life easier.
