Which Fast, Responsive Wordpress Theme

by clausont Posted: 13 years ago 8 replies

I am hoping to find a super fast, responsive wordpress theme that is very customizable. I have tried the "Responsive" theme by Cyberchimps and it seemed reasonable, but still quite a bit slower than I would like (testing with Pingdom).
Does anyone have a good experience with a fast, responsive (mobile friendly) free wordpress theme that they can recommend?

Thanks

Ok - I tested Catchbox on Pingdom against "Frank" (reportedly very fast). Catchbox consistently came in ahead of Frank by 1 point and quite a bit on load speed (Pingdom score: Catchbox - 92/100 Frank - 91/100). Both seem excellent and both seem to be much faster than the theme I am using.
If anyone else has recommendations, please chime in!

  Thanks!

Depends on what you are trying to do.

If you want a free theme that does Woocommerce then you need to go with Mystile by WooThemes. It's lightweight and looks great.

On the premium side there are so many options to choose from.
