Site Redesign, let me know what you think :)

Hi Warriors,

I know one shouldn't do a "complete" redesign on a sales page, but instead change it little by little to grow sales, but my site design was a few years old and it seemed to be getting a bit stagnant.

So, here is my old site design, (there's a couple of background images missing as Archive.org didn't index them, but you'll see the overall effect):
covertLinks Affiliate Link Cloaker - Affiliate Protection against Parasite Software

Now here's my new design:
covertLinks Affiliate Link Cloaker - Affiliate Protection against Parasite Software

Let me know what you think and I'd appreciate any constructive criticism.

Regards,
Perry.

No doubt the new one is more better. It is more cleaner and i like the bug in the header .

And the testimonial area from the old site is a little bit off with that bold blue text and a gray background..not a good combination.

Overall you did a great job. Well done for your redesign site.

    Thanks webdesignservice,

Yeah, like I said, the archived version is missing the background image for the testimonials, it used to have a white BG so the blue text wasn't so bad, however, seeing as the old site was grey and green, the blue still didn't fit. :p

    Thanks again for your input.

    Perry.

I definitely like the new one more. Four of the most basic ideas of design are C-R-A-P
    Contrast, Repetition, Alignment and Proximity

Your old site the green background everywhere, including behind text. The new one, you chose white. That falls into the contrast section of good design and it made it look lightyears better. Great job!

      Hi Perry,

      Great Job!

The new design is much better, I would of just clicked away from your first design as it was hard to read.

All website should be black writing on a white background, it's much cleaner and is easier to read.

I personally think the header could be much cleaner and I'm not keen on the grid look in the header, but hey that's just my opinion as I think your header should be a striking as the headline as this makes people stay on your page longer.

Overall though I think you've done a great job, I'd throw away the old design ha ha!

        lol

Yeah, I was really being a bit lazy as I wanted to kind of tie into my old Box design somehow instead of reworking the Box image. so I kept the grid that was in the old header.

        Regards...

          Perry,

Big difference between the two styles mate, well done for making the alterations, I tend to agree with Craig in relation to the current header, the grid just looks way out of place & takes away the possibility of the design looking somewhat crisper.

The header font also looks to small for mine, perhaps using a larger font or a different style font would make things pop a little better, another thought of course if you have the header psd would be to use the actual bg as the backdrop inside of the header, super impose your graphics & give a floating header effect.

Just a few thoughts, good luck with it buddy........

    Hi,

You may want to make the name and headline a little bolder to "pop" more. Impact is a great font for that. I would go 24pt.

So many people take usability for granted. Nice to see you went through with the redesign.

I agree with Dawn, the header needs a little more UMPH or something to it. Maybe its just too green? I think a bolder header might do the trick.

It was loading a bit slooowwww as well. Once it loaded the add to cart worked perfectly when I click it.

I found it better because of two things:

    - White background. Better contrast compared to the old one, and also, easy reading.
    - The last template had some errors i think. I opened it on FF 3 and saw some errors (not sure if its because of using web archive link)

The new one is much better but here are a couple constructive criticisms:

    1. Your ebook cover could be better. The text especially, is a bit of focus and hard to read. Doesn't look inspiring. I'd do a redesign on this.

    2. The text sections between the testimonial blocks is a bit dense. If you could condense/cut it that would be an improvement.

Hate be critical but you asked for it. Those are the only obvious problems that stand out to me. Otherwise, looks real nice!
