Rule of Thumb for portfolio

Hello,

I am making a portfolio of websites. They will be responsive. I have finished one that is e-commerce oriented. I wanted to do one for real-estate with maps next.

I was wondering how many websites should one have in their portfolio? What kinds of capabilities should be covered? For example, I have started off with e-commerce and I want to do maps next.

TIA

As many example as possible. Plus a site with few examples might make people wonder why.

As far as what types, depends on who you want to attract. If it's just any one, and every one, you'll need many different examples in my different niches and markets.

Maybe just start off targeting one market? Just a thought
