Anyone got a good graphic designer I can outsource a logo design to? Be it through fivver or another site. Just curious forgive me if I am asking the wrong place. I am busy doing the coding and would like to get this site up ASAP so have decided to outsource some content and Graphics as they are time consuming because I am still on the learning curve with Graphic Design. Any help or advice would be appreciated, really I am just looking for a recommended designer from someone who has done this more times than I.

It would really depend on your budget.

For extremely low cost, you can find plenty of aspiring graphic artists over on Fiverr.

If you want to spend a wee bit more, there are logo contest sites, where you'll invest $100-300 or so, and people will submit logos to see if you select their design, winning the contest.

As for Fiverr - I don't have a favorite... since sellers tend to come and go... I've looked for people who did previous work for me, and they've disappeared.

I generally pay close attention to how many orders they have in queue, and the reviews. Should be easy to find one - although I understand why you'd look for a recommendation.

But I've not had a logo done for about a year or two now, so I don't have any current recommendations.

If you have the cash, you might seriously want to take a look at the logo contest sites though...

Thank you, Mostly I am trying to get started at a low cost for now. Hence why I haven't outsourced more. I will just keep my eye open on Fivver and see if someone catches my eye. It's always just a risk because you are very unsure of what you will end up with.

In addition to Fiverr, you should check out elance.com: you can post a listing there, get a number of quotes, and then communicate with the people who sent you the quotes.

In the job posting, state that you will want to see their portfolio before hiring. Then, when people get back to you ask to see their work. You'll quickly be able to tell who knows what they're doing vs those taking advantage of the naive.

For budget, it's going to depend on which region you check out. I've had good luck going to foreign markets where the wagers are low, though of course YMMV. I'd suggest posting the offering with a fixed-price bid under $500 (the lowest category they allow), and see what you get. You might get someone good for barely more than Fiverr, and If you don't like the offerings you can simply pull the job posting.

I'd look at contest sites like 99designs. I'm used to do a lot of work on 99designs, submitting logos to the competitions rather than hosting them and I've always been impressed by the quality and the inventiveness of the submissions.

Check out fiverr but look past their initial portfolio and see the portfolio with comments, that's their actual work they have done for clients. sometimes their portfolio will be different to what they design for the clients on fiverr.

Probably due to time being spent on earning $5 wheres their portfolio probably people spent hundreds
