I am looking for fast loading wordpress themes both free and paid. If you have any suggestions kindly suggest me.

  • If you think that fast loading theme is all it takes to get the site to load fast, you are mistaken. It greatly depends on the type of hosting, additional code, image and server optimization and not overdoing it with all sorts of different wordpress plugins that drop in their own scripts in the header.
  • Thesis, Genesis, Avada are all speed optimised.

    But hosting is also another variable and what type of scripts you have as well.

    • This. You obviously want to choose a clean, fast theme but must also consider the plugins/other customizations you proceed to install in addition to the core. Try to customize the core install as little as possible, many plugins will break indeed as versions cycle through anyway.

  • Thesis and Genesis are great. Avada doesn't fall in the same category. As Thesis and Genesis are frameworks and highly optimized for performance, SEO and further customization/development.

  • I can give another vote for the ThemeForest,
    but the real question I want to ask (from OP) is...

    Do you have a cache plugin installed?
    Because that's usually better option and you do not have to change theme.
    (if the theme is half desent)

  • I have purchased roughly 5 WP themes on themeforest, and all of them are very slow. After you install the demo content, i turns to very slow.

    All on HG

    Has anyone used WP Engine? They are pricey but is it worth it?
  • I would prefer Thesis theme which is good if you know customization and have good idea about PHP and CSS. I used for my blog and it reduced loading time from previous theme.
  • I put in another vote for Genesis. From my research it slightly edges out Thesis.
  • If you looking for paid one try themeforest themes it is cheap, good and affordable.
