Reading your original post and subsequent posts from others, I understand you need something that is profession and easy for you to manage. Profession, I mean Responsive. Then WordPress will be your best bet.

If you use L-Square for FireFox to identify at which screen size your content starts to break, you can easily change the layout using media queries in plain simple CSS.

Have you known about CSS responsive frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation?

Learn them and you can design responsive theme easily.
