Customize youtube video size in WP

I'm using the newest version of WP, how can I customize the size of a youtube video Im inserting in my post. I know its something about shortcode, but I don't understand. Looks like in older versions of WP there were specific buttons to do this, but I don't see those in this version. Most of the tutorials I'm seeing on how to do this are outdated.

  • Easiest way is to just grab the embed code and change the width and height settings. (Use a spreadsheet or calculator to keep them in porportion). If you have problems with the current embed code switch to the old one. Be sure to paste on text tab of editor not the visual editor. People waste a lot of time with outdated video plugins when it is so easy to embed things. I can switch out a video for a customer size it, and switch the css for the border to accomodate the video colors in less than 10 minutes manually. Only real reason I can see for plugins is to automate the process which means a lot less control over what videos you display.
  • While grabbing a youtube video click on share button under the youtube video and again click on embed button and copy the code.

    Put this code in your post code editor and change the width & height accordingly.
  • It is very easy. Go to the html part of your page and change the size of video. You can also do it while uploading video by clicking on the edit option.
