I`m looking for Web designer that are authority, who`s the top gun on this game and what are their website so i can see what differentiate them ?

  • Just so it`s clear, i don`t need any webdesign jobs and cheap webdesigner is really really not what i need.

    I`m looking for web site that are authority in web design to understand more about how they reach this status.

    • Kind of depends on what design is needed. Different web design agencies/companies specialise in different areas, such as eCommerce, responsive design, online magazines, government portals etc.

      So I think one of the best places to go is the highly authoritive group of judges - AWWWARDS.com who have a list of what they consider the best in design internationally:

    and there are thousands of web designers who are probably just as good as any on that list, and will work for MUCH cheaper, you just have to find the best one locally in your area by it's local reputation.

    if you are looking for the most "bang for your buck" from a designer, you might want to consider having a graphic design contest. this allows you to see unlimited submissions and revisions from hundreds or even thousands of designers who will design a unique rough draft according to your contest requirements. then you get to pick the best design and award them the money/job. this is a great way to go because you can set the budget from the beginning and literally see designers do all the work just for a chance to win your contest.

    99designs.com and designcontest.com are a couple of sites for that.
