Hey There !

Well here's my little problem :
I've been building my Forex Blog for the 4 past few months and little by little, it's getting more and more traffic and more and more profitable. The thing is that I have an old theme (you can see it there ) and I've been getting a new design which I think is terrible (you can have a look there)

On the second link : Don't look at the orange stuff on the right, it used to be blue but I can't put it back the right way...

Anyway, the thing is that the old theme seems to be generating a way more sales and moreover it's SEO optimized plus, I don't like the new one.

So I was wondering if you had any advices, ideas or whatever concerning my wordpress theme...

Thanks for your help !!
Cheers, Samuel

PS : I feel like I'm always asking for something here, so if you need any forex advices or whatever I can do, I'll be pleased to help you !

PPS : As I'm rereading my post, I figure out that I really seem to be insane...

    Hello cima

I don't think either theme is "terrible". But what I would do is keep the original one and then little by little start to make changes to it.

WP is all based on PHP and CSS. If you want to change the fonts or font colors, then you can change this in the CSS file. Next I would start working on the PHP files for each on the parts of the site. If you look at the editor in WP, you can see all the pages that make up your site. What I do when I want to work on a theme is open the editor and then select a file to change. Before I make any changes, I capy all code in it and save it to a text file on my computer. Then I start my work. If anything goes worng, I know I can always go back and get the code from the text file I saved and just paste it right back in again.

If you work with this model, you will learn more and more about how your site / theme works.

I would start with the header on your site and think about what I wanted to do with it. Make some changes and then upload it. See how that works. If you can get this right, then you can start examining it and then making chages to other parts of the site...

    Hope that helps you out.

    Have a Great Day!

Why don't you try creating your own theme? Artisteer would enable you to create a good theme very easily and then you could have it the way that you want it?

I have tried that first theme that you have when I first designed a blog and thought it was a bit challenging to change. Of course that was coming from someone completely new so I was spending a lot of time searching for answers. Artisteer was great because whenever I want to change my theme I just make a new one and replace the old one. You can keep all of the SEO aspects on Wordpress.
