Urgent Need Help: My website is down & the backup won't retore

I notice my website went down yesterday and i contacted my hosting provider. They informed me that my database is corrupt and they tried to restore the backup but it failed. I don't have a personal backup, please how can i get back my website online???
I have been running this website for 2years and i can't afford to lose it... please i need urgent help

  • Do you have the corrupt database? Can you share the DB? May be I am able to get partial tables from DB (although I don't guarantee). Something is better then nothing.

      If the backup failed then it could be that the back up could not be restored properly over the original database.

      There are problems with PHPMyAdmin in that it will not import the database file it exported. This is an old problem - more than 3 years old and they have not fixed it.

      One possibility for recovery is that you ask your tech support to rename your original database to something else. Let say your original database is called mydomaindb_ei. The rename it to mydomaindb_ei. So mydoamindb_ei will not exists anymore. That means you will be starting from a clean slate. Then ask your tech support to restore your database from the backup. See if that works. Restoring from backup re-creates a fresh version of mydomiandb_ei.

      I hope this works if not I am not sure what else can be done.
