Default New Success With ShareASale -Merchant Perspective

Hello, I just wanted to share my experiance with ShareASale. I have been a Merchant of the site for about 9 months now. Initially it was unclear the number of potential affiliates in the network. ShareASale has quotes in the 50K range i believe. My campaign has considerably less members than that but that doesnt take away fro the fact that I think there are some really great members. Getting response from affiliates to actively start promoting our site has been challenging. In fact we have recently seen the most action in just the last few weeks when we implemented one of the highest comission offers(24% to be exact) in all of fashion jewelry campaigns we have researched . I think that to some extent affiliates become numb to the daily offers and you really need to shock them into movement. Just as if you were creating a marketing campaign for customers, affiliates need a little glamour in their diet. If you have been on the fence about starting a merchant program I would suggest you look at ShareASale. Best Wishes.

Thanks for sharing your experience with Shareasale Adam. It's one network that both affiliates and merchant seem to really like.

I'm on the fence about signing up Share A Sale. We are a camping equipment manufacturer. With a commission of 15% and an average sale of $369 per product. How long should we expect to see a return from Share a Sale? Is this an attractive offer for affiliate? Thanks!

I have had some success with Shareasale both as a merchant and affiliate. As a merchant, the number of sales I got was more than that of Yahoo PPC. However, I had to provide a datafeed of products to achieve this.

When I joined, the network access fee was only $100 as compared to $550 now. Obviously the risks are higher but I think your commission is attractive enough, especially those who use PPC.

As an affiliate, I have a lot of problems with merchants with whom I was doing well but suddenly leave the network. I hope that the increase in network access fees will reduce this problem.

JT- I find as with any other style of advertising it takes time, dedication, hard work and some money helps too. Simply signing up as a merchant will probably not bring in the sales. You have to market to affiliates and possibly buy some ad space to market your program to advertisers. With the right affiliates you can start seeing sales in a short time, but that depends on finding the right people to network with. Best of luck, feel free to PM me any questions and I will help where I can.
