How I made over $700 in 4 days with very little work(*Updated with new twist*)

Hey guys,

This is exactly how I made over $700 in 4 days with very little work.

I am an affiliate of a spanish CPA network and I received an email about a new campaign for teeth whitening. The campaign got me interested because it was about a free sample of a teeth whitening product and it was paying 25 euros (over $30 usd) for each free sample order. The only thing the customer would have to pay for was the shipping and handling costs.

I thought "This is awesome!"

And I quickly got into creating a CPA landing page for this offer. This is the page I came up with: blanqueamientodentalgratis.com (not mine anymore - attached image shows how my CPA landing page looked like)

The translation of the domain would be freeteethwhitening.com (haven't checked if that is available

)

After completing my landing page all I had to do now was to promote it.

It had been a long time since I wanted to do some kind of offline marketing and this offer was perfect for it so I decided to give it a shot.

I made a very simple flyer in microsoft word promoting my CPA landing page. The flyer said something like....

New teeth whitening product is being tested and we want you to be one of the very few people that will get it for free and tell us how it works.

Hurry up and grab your free sample now at

(CPA landing page url here) - BIG BOLD FONT

It was a very simple flyer in white and black so I printed them myself at home. I printed around 200 of these. There were 4 per page so it was really 50 pages only.

Now, I thought that the best shot at making good profits from this was to look out for targeted traffic. Therefore, I had to give these flyers away to people that were in dentist offices.

What I did was that I talked to the owners of some dentist offices and explained what I had in mind. I explained how this would not affect their customer base because it was only a free sample that was offered and even if they kept on ordering this product they would still need to visit their dentist office because it only solves a superficial dental issue on the person.

I visited 5 dentist offices and 2 accepted to let me give away these flyers at their offices. I had printed 200 flyers so I divided them 100/100.

The result? The title says it all... After 4 days I had made over $700. And some more commissions keep coming from that one offline marketing campaign I did.

For you new people - pay attention: Targeted traffic is SUPER easy to get.

Ol' Frankie above just made some flyers and handed them out at targeted locations.

4 days and 700 dollars richer.

Money is easy to be had if you are willing to put some time, thought, and effort into it.

I'd hesitate to do this with my own dentist as the offer was obviously a rebill and sooner or later he's gonna have a que of pissed off customers at his door complaining about the money taken off their cards.

And can I just ask why you needed a landing page if you were'nt doing PPC? Were you unhappy with the official site? Or simply doing a pre sell?

Ye offline marketing in some niches is my favorite. I remember when i was promoting Clickbank product for weight loss, and what happened, when i set up few posters in local gym. Traffic and sales were insane...and refund rate was extremly low. Thanks for sharing your success..

Great job, Frankie. You went the extra mile and talked to the dentists about the fliers - you had extremely targeted traffic eating out of your hands, and this would be so simple to scale up just by visiting more dentists and talking to them about the placement of your fliers!

Just watch local laws and ordinances if you are posting flyers in public places.

Many of the old school bulletin boards I remember as a kid are long gone, but having them in the dentist's offices is beautiful - 100% laser targeted traffic.

I feel that I have much more control of the campaign (in terms of traffic and CTR) by having my own landing page. Also, it gives me total control of how I want to promote it, meaning I can promote it both offline and online with every method possible.

And when I feel like not working with this campaign anymore I could just flip it

You might offer to do some linkbuilding or site promotion in exchange for keeping the flyers around.

You might even have them paying you if they need a lot of promotion done.

Many of these offers are able to pay so well because they exploit consumers.

They make it excruciatingly difficult to cancel the trial, in some cases its nearly impossible. To make it even worse, the price they charge is enormous compared to the industries average on the product.

Take a look:
Crest 3d Teeth whiting strips - 22.99 (taken from amazon)
CPA teeth whiting solution - 69.99 (taken from one of my customers complaints)

Test the trial process for yourself before you try to promote any of this stuff.
And go though the whole thing start to finish.

I've done this, and there are a lot of deceptive practices at work.
-A support form is worthless when you don't hear back.
-A phone number to call is worthless when you only get an automated system with no way to cancel your trail.
- A "cancel now" link is worthless when the page gives you a 404, or a "under construction" page.

etc....

I still don't get the payment from this campaign specifically, but I have been paid for other campaigns from the same network. Being paid is not what worries me. I know I'll get paid because I've had no problem with this network.

Very interesting, Frankie. And maybe what you would want to do now is visit the offers that your CPA company is giving out and see whether there is another one (or more) in which you could repeat this strategy.

And of course, the good part that I see here is your income is going to go on autopilot based on what you have already done. In other words, what you have already achieved is that you have set up an income stream that brings you $175 per day on an average hands-ff. Powerful indeed.

Rinse and repeat it if you can.

This is really creative of you but I have to agree with JoshuaG.

I have been selling in the health/beauty niche for some time. And this is very likely a rebill that will result in cosumer complaints.

Take a look at the fine print on the offer and see how long someone has to return it. My guess is the "free trial" starts the day the shipment is sent and they have a whopping 7 to 14 days to try it. Which means they really don't have time to try it and return it before getting billed. Because by the time they get it, most of those free trial days are over.

So yes the money is good but is it fair to the consumer?

By all means scale up but, be careful with the outsourcing of the fliers. Make sure you can verify if the fliers are dropped off or whatever you ask the outsource to do can be verified.

I've been taken to many times when outsourcing of fliers.

Frankie, now go scale it up and start attacking all the dentists in your cities and the surrounding area!

Also, as you've mentioned, try to find targeted CPA offers that would work with other types of businesses in your city. Taking a little time to brainstorm and be creative here will yield enormous rewards, so don't forget to do so. You'll probably have zero competition for the time being, so hit this hard while you have a virtual monopoly on the market!

Just watch local laws and ordinances if you are posting flyers in public places. Many of the old school bulletin boards I remember as a kid are long gone, but having them in the dentist's offices is beautiful - 100% laser targeted traffic. Nicely done.

Many of these offers are able to pay so well because they exploit consumers. They make it excruciatingly difficult to cancel the trial, in some cases its nearly impossible. To make it even worse, the price they charge is enormous compared to the industries average on the product. Take a look: Crest 3d Teeth whiting strips - 22.99 (taken from amazon) CPA teeth whiting solution - 69.99 (taken from one of my customers complaints) Test the trial process for yourself before you try to promote any of this stuff. And go though the whole thing start to finish. I've done this, and there are a lot of deceptive practices at work. -A support form is worthless when you don't hear back. -A phone number to call is worthless when you only get an automated system with no way to cancel your trail. - A "cancel now" link is worthless when the page gives you a 404, or a "under construction" page. etc....

I have been selling in the health/beauty niche for some time. And this is very likely a rebill that will result in cosumer complaints. Take a look at the fine print on the offer and see how long someone has to return it. My guess is the "free trial" starts the day the shipment is sent and they have a whopping 7 to 14 days to try it. Which means they really don't have time to try it and return it before getting billed. Because by the time they get it, most of those free trial days are over. So yes the money is good but is it fair to the consumer? Let us know what you discover on this product.

By all means scale up but, be careful with the outsourcing of the fliers. Make sure you can verify if the fliers are dropped off or whatever you ask the outsource to do can be verified.
