Default Anyone else unhappy with scam traffic sources?

Hi Everybody,
I don't post here much but I am an avid reader and learner. I had recent bad experience/s with a couple of fraudulent traffic sites, and its got me all motivated to expose them and others for the protection of other suckers like me who're busting their all to get ahead on the internet.
I have a website, wealth matrix review dot com. In it I post a lot of reviews of internet wealth creation schemes. I also check with the Better Business Bureau on each of them and make links to any complaints for readers to follow.
The idea is that innocent users who might be thinking of buying any particular internet wealth scheme might think twice if there turns out to be a dozen complaints lodged against the sellers of the scheme. In many cases this is exactly what is out there, you should see the complaints at the BBB for Forex Enterprise for instance.

I'm going to open a new page on Wealth Matrix Review with an index of any and all traffic sites and rate them.
I’ll locate them myself, or if any of you post the names of any sites with problems, or know of clearly fraudulent sites such as the people advertising the entire paypal and ebay client email list, I'll post the site names for people to read and refer to.
I will also investigate them with government reporting agencies such as the BBB.
- It won't be an attack list, just a cautionary list that other users have been less than happy with traffic supplier X.
- Your name etc won't be attached to the listing in any form.
- This is not a cheap trick for me to get traffic to my site, Warrior Forum is way too slow to have my interest that way.
- This is a way to provide a little more protection to honest IM's.
- (Can someone steer me towards learning how to web 2.0 so everyone can post?)

By way of getting the ball rolling here are the names of some companies and my experiences.

By contrast, and I sincerely hope we can help each other, please post here or at my site, the names of any safe lists and traffic sources that you have had good experiences with.
1 - I am very happy with;
BusinessWorldList - safelist, Free Safelist, Pro, Submitter, Marketing, Email
(Members can be free or just $10 per month, and can email a list of about 80,000 each 48 hours(pro/$10). Each time I put an ad in the system I see several hundred visitors show at my site and always between 1 and 5 opt in to the membership list. I have not as yet emailed any of the optins.)

2 - Cheap Wholesale Quality, Guaranteed, and Unique Website Hits and Visitors ::: Increase Website Traffic
I bought traffic from this company, but it is website remnant traffic, and as such is not targeted at all. I bought about 95,000, might have received some traffic and got no opt ins. This site may not be a fake but did not perform either. Supposedly they sell pop ups, but I used an ad designed for pop ups and received no traffic at all , making me wonder if they even supply what they say they do.

3 – Blast4Traffic.com™ - Instant Bulk Email and Advertising Services
This crowd is almost certainly a big fake with numerous complaints around the internet about no traffic and no refunds. Supposedly for a $40 join up/one time fee, one can email over 2 million people each 24 hours, I tried it (before researching them) and my Wealth Matrix Review dot com hosting company detected zero traffic from them, pretty much an impossibility as the same ad on business world list consistently gets optins and traffic from just 80,000. I really made a fuss with paypal and the company and received my $40 back, I was very surprised. They also have the same website operating under numerous other urls. Eg Bulk Email with Web Traffic Marketing's Safe List and BULK Emailing -The most efficient traffic producers online today, and when I started getting no traffic I was referred from one to the other and back again.

4 - PayPal Power Ads - Proudly Brought To You By Rando Sivilla
Remember all those assurances from paypal and ebay that they never divulge your information? What are the chances they gave these people 28 million email addresses?

So, Mr Moderator, if I’ve transgressed here I apologize, it’s not my intention. There is a real problem on the web with scam traffic companies, its one of the newer, bigger internet scams going. If we can do something to warn people I want to help.
Would it be possible to post this letter as a sticky anywhere at the top of Warrior Forum for all to see, not just us CPA folks?
PS, anyone with joint venture ideas using WMR is welcome to email me.
Anyone with other ideas to combat/expose these sites please speak up.
Anyone with sites with real traffic and working safe lists, please help other members and share the good news around.
Thanks to all
Roger Wadham

Hi, Roger:

I found your letter because it popped up while I was looking for advice on how to get David Preston to do what he says he will do. I paid $750 for the first month of his coaching program, and so far I have received absolutely nothing from him. He is one of those 'gurus' who has insulated himself against easy contact, even from paid students like me. Looks as though he follows Dan Kennedy's advice from No B.S. Time Management - i.e., don't talk to anybody 'cuz the time vampires will get you!

Over promising and underdelivering seems to be pretty common from folks who market on the Warrior Forum. I could make a list for you. So you may get some good feedback on your letter, which I admire, although if anyone responds with something for you to buy, run the other way.

All the best,
Dennis

Hi Dennis, thanks for the encouragement, I hope there's a way to get more results from your coach, I'm not familiar with coaches to know any good advice, maybe contact the people that have vouched for him in the past?

I noticed that WarriorForum software has scrubbed various website names I posted, here they are in text form.
1) Business world list dot com, good experience.
2)Traffic emporium dot net
3) Blast 4 traffic dot com, and their other names ;web traffic marketing dot com, surfers choice dot net, just to name a few. - scam
4)Blast for traffic dot info - selling ebay lists

In the few hours since I posted this I've learned something else;
There is software available that generates digital information to look as though a ton of traffic is going to your site. This is sold openly, and the purpose is to trick the rankings robots into thinking you have a very busy site.
If this is decidedly black hat, its nothing compared to the same people who are using this software to tell you they are sending real traffic for a price, when in fact they're only using a click etc generator and are just laughing all the way to the bank..

I am also agreed with you guys.....I am also agreed with the recent technological bot generating different IP address and visit your website to show that your number of increasing visitors where there is none real.Largely offered and marketed by WORLDPROFIT.COM.....may be the owner is from Harvard Educated but you can find him Rude and using shock therapy to get the customer.May be its for a long time but they brought the 50000 or 1000000 traffic to your website by that bot system.NEVER BELIEVE THIS......THEY ARE NOT AT ALL REAL TRAFFIC.....

I PREFER AND HAPPY WITH....

TRAFFICSWARM.COM

AND NOT HAPPY WITH BLAST4TRAFFIC.COM.....I THINK ITS FAKE.......I FOUND NO RESULTS WITH THEM.....

THE OTHERS TRAFFIC EXCHANGE SITES ARE USEFUL HEREWITH YOU CAN TRY.....

TRAFFICSPLASH AND TRAFFICWITCH....ALSO PREFER DRAGONSURF AND HOVERTRAFFIC......

BEWARE ITS MARKETING MAN AND YOU CAN BE EASILY SCAMMED ANYWHERE IF YOU ARE NOT CAUTIOUS......

BEFORE INVESTING ANYWHERE.....TRY SEARCHING FIRST IN GOOGLE BY WRITING "THE WEBSITE NAME+SCAM OR OTHER KEYWORDS FRAUD OR ANYTHING ELSE LIKE THAT"......COZ SOMETIMES +SCAM SEARCH CAN COMES WITH THE GOOD REVIEW ON THE FIRST PAGE IS FOR THE SEO THINGS......QUITE TRICKY YA?......

BEWARE THERE ARE MANY SOFTWARE BY THEM THEY ARE GRABBING THE CUSTOMER BY POSTING TO READYMADE BLASTING TO ANY FORUM BY ANTITODING THE GOOD REVEIW.....BEWARE OF THAT ALSO.....TRY FINDING OUT REAL ONE REVEIW (HINTS...MAY BE WITH ONE OR TWO SPELLING OR TYPING MISTAKES OR MORE THAN THAT).....

Roger - very interesting and useful content and great site, thank you. I'd heard about the Blast4Traffic BS and was not surprised by your comments. You provide a very useful service, among all the affiliate-crowded review sites out there.

Hi everyone!
I've just been scammed by Paypal Power Ads... I really didn't expected this to happen. The package was offered for 22,5. I click on "Purchase" and came the Paypal billing page for $15 which said Payment 1/2.
After paying, I got a second sceen where they asked me to follow to a new link... Argh! what an arse I am!!! and I did! They asked me for my credit card number security code, etc. and I now I'm pretty sure they've taken my card info... Cause they just brought a suspicious "transaction failed" screen and I never got any product or link or email or anything.
I've been scammed and I'm feeling like an idiot. I called VISA and they recommended not cancelling the card since I'm not certain that the theft happened.
Spread the word, I hope nobody else falls for this one.
Motherf....s
Regards!

Hi Rafaelcorrea

Seems Paypal Power Ads is all over the place, i think that one of the big giveaways
on this site is that they make it difficult to find them or contact them, I think you are right about it being a scam.
I did a little checking on this site and it seems that the guy who runs it has got quite a reputation, not a good one by the way.
If you want to try and contact him you can try the info below, but i don't fancy your chances.

I'm not so sure. I used them for quite a while, for a variety of products, and got hardly a click, no matter how intriguing my headlines.

Thank you for starting a list of scams. The more we pool our experiences the better. Of course, there are some good sites already with quite a lot of information available. I like ivetriedthat and scam.com. But they don't cover everything.

Hello everone

Inspired to make my first post. I have learned before I sign up for anything to check via search engine "thebestthingblablabla warrior forum".

So I was led here because I was curious about Pay Pal Power Ads because this smells pretty bad.
Thanks for the additional clue re MacroNet.

Go to his own website link where many of his questionable ads are including Craigs Power List. (he has a lot of "Craig" type domain names btw) Whois search is often revealing. I can't post the link cause I am too new. Just go to macrointernational.com/portfolio.htm
You will probably recognize some on here as I did, he uses traffic swarm a lot. Take note this guy is a pro so he knows traffic swarm works IMHO.

My advice is to avoid all of the above sites in his portfolio above. Just my humble opinion. I'm sure he has a list but he milks it all over the net. Where is the proof that he has happy clients? Scammy approaches?
If anyone has a rebuttal i.e. good results from anyone of these, please post. Otherwise it definitely is BUYER BEWARE.

I absolutely agree with this statement. It is so tempting BUT you put the work and effort in and it will pay off. I honestly do not trust any of the pay per traffic sources. Just work hard at your backlinks etc. and you will see soon enough a lot of traffic.

105724, I find it interesting that at least two of the sources that you say that you are happy with have been nothing but downright disappointing (to put it mildly) for me and a few of my fellow associates.

BusinessWorldList: My personal experience with them up to now has not been good. I have ran numerous campaigns and spent countless dollars before I threw in the towel. I will still give them the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe for some offers they may be good, but I don't know what those would be.

Blast4Traffic: I feel that I can say without much doubt that this company is a scam. While I'm at it, include safemail services dot com, which seems to be a sister company of B4T. I have used both of them with numerous offers for almost a whole year, with absolutly ZERO conversion. I have never heard of anyone having any kind of success with any of these companies, until now. I would advise readers to do a due diligence check with google and you will see what I mean.

Paypal PowerAds: I have not used them, so I cannot make an assessment of their performance. My advice would be to do a google search to see what kind of user feedback they have so far.

Just my two cents. Hope this helps.

The best option is to use trusted advertising networks instead of wasting your money on crappy traffic from scams .

I STarted FROM ScRatch and attempted to come up with a better web traffic system that was fair to everyone. What I came up with is a web directory script that traffic "sellers" install on their site. They don't get get paid per click but rather per action.

So the idea is to get the script installed on more and more websites and it gathers traffic from them and aggregates that into a bigger block for sale.

Each site then can sell the entire block of traffic (instead of just their own contribution). They get paid a 50% commission for any advertising sales and since the ads run by the month each month's new ad payment earns a commission.

Then I realized that each customer is also a potential location to install the script. Since the ad sellers were also, therefore, helping recruit new members I made the commissions multi-level so that they earn override commissions on sales their recruits earn.

The script is free, advertising can be free or paid. A new auction system is trying to develop webmaster competition for placement to be the main method for setting prices so it mimics PPC a little bit.

It hasn't generated income yet but could be close to doing that.

Reviews, comments, ideas are all welcome. Add your link for free too and get advertised on all current and future installation sites.

There are so many ways to get traffic without paying that these types of sites should soon disappear. They are really obsolete!

It is good to share both good and bad experiences on the Internet. Most people are to embrassed to admit to being scammed. This helps all of us to stay clear of these people. I wish someone had told me about Blast for +++++ a while ago! It is a rip off site that does not but take your money.

Thanks Roger

After we discovered the Trojan he installed on his target URL after our initial review and approval of his campaign, we cancelled his order. He demanded a refund; when we refused, he escalated the matter with PayPal who investigated his claim and summarily rejected it.

As of this morning, we have processed just over 6,300 orders for website traffic since going live in November of 2010. This person is not only the first to accuse us of being a scam, but his complaint is the only complaint whatsoever to be found about WebsiteTrafficWarehouse.com anywhere on the Internet.

At any rate, the saying “buyer beware” applies, we think, to its greatest extent when making a purchase online. Here are some tips and things to look for when buying website traffic that will help ensure one is going to get what one thinks they are:

1.) Independent, 3rd party identity and/or privacy verification of the business from reputable services such as VeriSign, TRUSTe, Trust-Guard, PayPal verification, etc.: The odds are slim of a scam operation going through any sort of 3rd party verification process. Make sure any such verification seals on a website are clickable: If they are not, they are likely fraudulent (false, unclickable “PayPal Verified” seals are particularly prevalent on the Internet).
2.) A company that is incorporated or DBA: Again, e-scammers do not tend to make such efforts.
3.) A physical address and/or P.O. box correspondence address of the business: Once more, some loser sitting in his basement wringing his hands smiling fiendishly while he watches the money roll-in doesn’t want one to know where he is – real businesses don’t mind.
4.) A telephone number: And again, one more sign of legitimacy and an indication from the service that they invite open communication.
5.) A reasonable willingness on behalf of the company to disclose their names: Scammers don’t make a habit of doing this.

Specific characteristics of the traffic:
1.) Make sure each visitor has all of the following characteristics and that all of these visitor characteristics are clearly listed somewhere on the site:
A.) A unique IP address which does not belong to a proxy provider.
B.) Their own operating system.
C.) Their own screen resolution.
D.) Their own ISP provider.
E.) Their own real, physical location within the geographic parameters of the campaign one chooses.

Additional things one can do:
1.) Make contact PRIOR to buying, even if one doesn’t have a question: Measure the business’s response time and see how you feel about the manner in which they respond. Go with your gut.
2.) READ THE TERMS: If it is not in there, the business doesn’t have to give it unless there is a contradictory statement somewhere else on the site.
3.) Take a screen-shot of the website’s Homepage, Terms page, as well as the website’s FAQ page prior to making a purchase.
4.) Make MORE contact, and ask the following, specific questions, exactly as they are typed here:
A.) “Do you serve traffic via hidden iFrame calls/1x1 pixel?” – If they answer “yes” only about 5% of the traffic will see one’s site.
B.) "Is your traffic software-generated HTTP access requests?” – If they answer “yes” one will not receive human traffic.
C.) “Is your traffic in a rotation, or is the redirect stagnant?” – If they answer the former, whoever lands on your site will be again redirected in 15 – 20 seconds to another site in the ad rotation, even if they wanted to stay on your site. If they answer the latter, once a visitor is redirected to your site, they are not again redirected.

If a traffic service doesn’t meet the above legitimacy criteria, and is unable or unwilling to answer the above questions, it is not in one’s best interest to buy. It should also be noted that if in any correspondence had with any e-business, something is said to you that clearly, distinctly, and undeniably contradicts either something said on the website, or in that website’s TOS, whatever was said in correspondence legally trumps any TOS or claims made on the website. In short, it pays to chat them up. By default, the contract laws that govern the transaction are the contract laws of the country/state in which the business is located. However, any e-business that does not disclose its refund policies or the specific nature of its guarantee(s) in its TOS, must provide no-questions-asked refunds. One might, however, have to get an attorney to get any money back; but one can also sue for attorney’s fees.

Also, the most sure-fire way to know if the testimonials on a traffic service site are bogus (i.e. paid for or made up) is if there are gobs of them. Although it certainly does happen, it is simply not in human nature for people to regularly go out of their way via uncompensated written testimonial to let other people know when they’ve been pleased with a product or service.

Best of luck to you all, and I hope this helps,

There's a bunch of those folks out there -- and I see lots of their products in the webmaster's in-box. Some of the "confirmed sources" are apparently random names spammed to any dot-com mailbox -- so I get offers for "Dave" and "Ralph" and "Emily" and so forth.

Hulio's statement kind of raised my neck hairs after all the recent account break-ins of several large companies within the past year.

I agree that the best way to build a list is to do it for yourself.

Hey team members,

Is anyone familiar with 'Done For You Traffic?' The navigation is tricky. When navigating from one tab to the next, after joining, an Upgrade link appears and if you don't accept you can't finish setting up the website traffic system. Can anyone shine some light on this traffic system for me please? I'd appreciate it. Because of this, I am about to get my money back. BTW... the OTO is high and this system tries to force you to upgrade. If you don't you won't be able to get to the next step. This is not mentioned in the sales page video presentation. What's up with this? Scam?

Hi Fighter, I'm not familiar with the name, but your comments about being 'forced' to upgrade is a red flag for sure, an honest system has no need to go down those roads.

Why would anyone be happy with scam traffic sources? They probably bring low CTRs and conversions.

I tried "Cheap Traffic". They drive the traffic (I could see from Google Analytics) but no conversions. They use their link wheels. Thanks for the heads up. I was about to try the Web traffic Marketing. Kept looking for scam alerts. Glad I found yours.

I agree. The content placed on my blog only had empty links and still waiting on those videos. And I bought it at $97 bucks. Last I saw it was sold out as a dime sale $3. and that was before Black Friday. LOL

I wont never ever ever ever trust these bulk traffic sources ,

Thanks Blade. I agree. You are so correct. Red Flag all the way! I upgrade if I can foot the cost & the upgrade is mandatory for the software to work which helps me to make money. I'm not a newbie, and I noticed there is so much new stuff... so identical to some of the non-working old 'bugged' software products, just rehashed - name changed. Not to mention so much hype for such high costs for some of the OTOs... And, lets not forget, time consuming & aggravation for everyone who tries to access poorly developed (software) programs resources & members area. Oh well, 'nough' said - I'm out! Again, thanks Blade!

I think WebTrafficMarketing.com is not scam but a quality service. I think one reason why some people do not have success is because they had poor ad copy or are trying to market products nobody has any interest in purchasing. The same apply with Google Adwords or in any marketing services.

If you have a quality product to market and plan on designing an ad copy to complement your product you will see results instantly in WebTrafficMarketing.com. But, if you plan on typing a couple of lame sentences with a link to your site you will get no results. As a current member of WebTrafficMarketing bulk email service I can tell you there are a lot of members doing the couple of lame sentences marketing plan and I bet the majority of them think they are using a service that doesn't work. WebTrafficMarketing bulk email service works! Just not for everybody because they don't know how to use a bulk email marketing service properly.

FYI: optinmedialist.com 300,000 target emails sent, trial version, $49.95, NO RESPONSE, in addition if the company did what claims, after I ran my trial version (if it worked) wouldn't they be getting in touch with me to buy a bigger package? No contact. I would have happily spent much more money if it would have worked...Had my email checked by several marketing people had tracking in the code etc...so the actual results were clear to me NOTHING!

I have tried several traffic sources in the past and received no conversions, the only benefit I saw was the Alexa rank fell but Google didn't budge. I even signed up as a reseller of one just to see the back end and again same results. I'm not sure there are any that are worth the money.

Always stop for 10 seconds. Apply common sense. Does it make sense? ..think..

IF they rerally could get 100,000 target visitors for $50....they'd simply run offers them-selves...

EVERY SCAM be it a person/biz relies on 2 things:

1) Not applying common sense
2) Being greedy.

No common sense at all!

They's simply look for high paying affilaite offers and run them-sleves wouldn't they?
