Anyone have experience with using Kontera and/or Infolinks as a way to monetize their site? I heard these are good alternatives to Google adsense but I want to see if anybody used either company. I have an information website that has a substantial amount of traffic (mostly US traffic and some international traffic) so I want to diversify my monetization model and not just use adsense. |

I have over 30 websites, tested all three networks on them. Tested different ad placements throughout the site. Couldn't get Kontera to convert for me at all. Infolinks are good though, but Adsense is the king for me. |

Hey, go for infolinks! It's fast and easy to convert.

| Thanks for the response. I'm curious to get your insights... what makes infolinks easy to convert? Also, if I'm using both adsense and infolinks on my website but on different pages, what's a good way to track the results? |

Hey, this is Tammy from Infolinks. I'm happy to add my two cents to this thread. Infolinks is effective because the ads are delivered to your readers in the moment they are most engaged - while reading your own words. Our highly relevant ads are linked up to your words in real time to ensure that the highest paying keywords in your content are double underlined and relevant to your readers. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us at support (at) infolinks (dot) com. Happy blogging, Tammy |

You can use both Google AdSense and Infolinks (split test with Kontera) on your sites together. It's a very good combination to maximize your income from your sites.

Since most of the traffic is from US, you can also test with CPA offers. It might work great.

Hi Innovator3, This is Jonathan from Kontera. If most of your traffic is from the U.S. you'll probably be better off with our platform. We have an exclusive ad inventory from such major brands as Microsoft, L'Oreal, Ford, McDonald's, AT&T, Kellogg's, Best Buy, CBS, and more. These premium, often Rich-Media ads offer the highest CPC, and geo-targeting with our advertisers are particularly interested in reaching a U.S. audience. Additionally in regards to AdSense, Kontera is a complimentary, not a competing platform. Most of Kontera's 15,000 Publishers use AdSense and Kontera together to boast their overall revenue. |

This is really good info, thanks everybody. Special thanks to the Kontera and the Infolinks team members to sharing. Question regarding this... how exactly would you split test? Do you do your split test on the same page with all 3 on there or another way? |

Infolinks + Google Adsense I would have them running separately for a couple of weeks to see which one performs better.

I'm not 100% they would be the best option to go with instead of AdSense. Have you tried AdChoices, they have a pretty good set up over there.

I haven't personally used Kontera or Infolinks but I heard from those who have that the CPC is so low that it makes them not even worthy of putting up on your site. Google Adsense is obviously the king of CPC advertising. However, I have also heard good things about media.net. I would check it out if you can't use Adsense.

I have heard good things about info links and I have started running test on some of my other sites. Has anyone had really good success from Info Links? If so, what kind of sites does it work best on? Thanks!

Did a google search which brought me here. Its been 2 days, and my sites are bringing in good traffic. Similar to the post above, im thinking about cutting infolinks. i made 3 cents. So blah. I think the reporting is lagged on that site too possibly. They also dont reply to customer support emails (its been 2 days infolinks, wtf)? "Just my 3 cents"

I would like to combine adsense and infolinks as well as try other ad serving sites - but infolinks was easy and does generate some revenue (albeit, not a ton)

* I should also add: Since i was getting so little $ per click with infolinks I thought, man I bet they have cheap advertising. I was right! I am getting clicks for about 1/3 to 1/5 the cost and the traffic has been quality (14% conversion on opt in squeeze page) |

Infolinks works well and I get about 12% CTR but CPC is very low. CPM is approx 1.5 dollars.

Dropped Kontera years ago it wasn't worthwhile having intrusive ads that didn't pay much.
