I was wondering if anyone had a list of CPA terms and what they meant... things like whitelabel, host and post etc.. These are the ones I see regularly..I just thought it might be a good resource for those starting out to understand CPA a little better. Search DLS Web RegPath SocialNet Host and Post Whitelabel Thanks in advance, Sylvia |

I actually came across this post on Google. DLS - adware RegPath - place inline with forum registration, etc SocialNet - social networking traffic Whitelabel - create custom form and pass data through Host and Post - I think I know what this is, but I'll leave it for someone who is sure. |

Ross P.S. BTW, Host & Post=Hosting the advertiser's web form on your server in order to capture the lead's email addy and other info before forwarding (POSTing) to the actual form's site to get paid. Hope this helps.

| As explained by my NeverBlue Manager via the phone minutes ago: Host & Post=Hosting the advertiser's web form on your server in order to capture the lead's email addy and other info before forwarding (POSTing) the same info to the actual form's site to get paid. Hope this helps. Ross |

Hi all, i Hope this is the right thread, if not please let me know.. I've just been accepted to a cpa network and very excited to start on.. I notice some of the campaign has "Promotion Not Allowed:Web " What does this mean actually? Are we not allowed to promote the campaign in our web? I want to ask my AM but since it's weekend i guess i will get my answer on Monday.. Thanks before, awe |

Web Promotions - Web promotions derive from natural traffic content webpages, we use banners and text links to track these types of conversions. Conversion rates are typically low for this type of promotion. - E-mail promoters use our approved e-mail ads, these are e-mailed for users to see. Conversion rates vary, depending on the quality of the e-mail lists and a the relevancy of the offer. Search - Search Traffic originates from search engines like Google and Yahoo, it is the bulk our business. Search traffic uses our custom affiliate links to re-direct users to the offer. Small ads on the content network would also use this link for the destination URL. DLS - This stands for Downloadable software, and this link acts much like the search link, except it is used for a different purpose. Traffic derives from user activity on private user executable programs; Kazaa and Limewire would be good examples, the owners of this program could use our DLS links to promote our offers on their program. SocialNet - This stands for Social Network traffic, and user clicks originate from places like Facebook, Myspace, and various other social networking sites. RegPath - This stands for Registration Path promotions. Most of our ZIP and E-mail submit offers are RegPaths. Users typically begin clicks on banners which state, choose your free “___”. Users are then asked to fill out additional offers. The additional offers are part of the RegPath promotion. Only certain offers can be incorporated into a RegPath, since traffic quality is generally quite poor. Host & Post - Host and Post is just that, an affiliate would host an offer on his/her server, then upload the lead information to the network. This is an advanced technique and typically requires i-framing and creative spins. That said, only a few offer are open to this type of traffic. Whitelabel - Some of our offers are actually white label offers in themselves, these are offers that look different than the parent host’s website, but traffic ends up going to that site down the road. Take a look at our offer “seductive search”, this is actually a white label for Mate1. Some of our offers are open to white label promotions, but not too many. Enjoy ![]() Oxana
