Promoting your Poll site

If you're trying to promote a poll, are you targeting the poll question or the offer? In other words if you have a poll asking people if they like McDonalds or Burger King better and the offer is a free McDonalds Gift Card, should I be pushing the "Mcdonalds vs. Burger King" angle or the "Free McDonalds Gift Card" angle? I mean in terms of keywords for SEO and titles for social bookmarking, article subjects etc.

    It should target the poll question. The main purpose of having a poll or survey is to systematically collect responses from a sample. That way you can really have a logical result.

    Except that CPA polls aren't really collecting responses, they are simply luring in targeted traffic and getting them to click on an affiliate link

    Push the McDonald's gift card not the other one you mentioned because if you are already asking them to vote, the user would have to vote a second time on the CPA offer page which will lessen conversions.
