Sitescout traffic quality

Ive heard that Sitescout traffic quality has gone down over time, and some of the sites are even sending bot traffic. Is this true? If so, is Sitescout even worth looking at for good traffic nowadays?

I haven't heard the bot traffic, but I think more people have jumped on this traffic source

Yes it is.. If you are getting traffic from "Site Bundles" probably it is junk traffic. Because no matter how many clicks or impressions you get from Site Bundles, you will never get a conversion.

Spent lots of $$$$ in it, avoid site bundles.

      Hi nocturnal911,

What are "Site Bundles"? I haven't heard of that term before your post.

If you run a RON campaign in sitescout, you will get traffic from these sources.

Sitescout runs over open RTB exchange witch has C+ to A- grade traffic. If you're looking for the heights A grade traffic you would need to go direct to the publishers if you have the funds to get their attention Open RTB is very good if you know what you're doing but the prices you're getting innovatory at will vary depending on the access point company you're using profit margins , I found the larger the company the higher the bids need to be to win as they need to cutout a bigger spread form the price to support their overhead or shareholders"

      my 2 cents

I used to run a campaign with $6-$8 cpm bid. But my CTR's were really good and i made good profits with it. You just need to know what you are doing in Sitescout, otherwise you will lose a lot of money in very short span of time.

My conversion rate from Sitescout was very poor. Waste of time and money.

Sitescout sells excess inventory. In other words, inventory that has not been bought from other networks.

You have to target your traffic well before you start bidding. Also, do a series of tests. Spend $500 - $1000 to test board and specific targeting. You should also be able to target ad exchanges.
